🌈Title - Sleeper Code: A Novel ✍️Author - @daydrinkingwithkevin 📕Review - What immediately hooked me about Sleeper Code was how terrifyingly believable the threat feels. Instead of a visible enemy, the danger comes in the form of Phantom—a self-learning piece of malicious code hidden deep within America's critical infrastructure, waiting for the right moment to awaken. The image of Max Shaw seeing the words "PHANTOM: AWAKE" flash across his screen instantly raises the stakes and creates a sense of dread that never really lets up. Max Shaw is one of the book's strongest elements because he doesn't fit the typical action-hero mold. He's exhausted, burdened by responsibility, and fully aware that failure could affect millions of lives. Alongside him, Tara Lin brings emotional depth through her family's experience with identity theft, while Sam Rourke's physical and emotional scars remind readers that modern warfare leaves lasting wounds even when the battlefield is digital. Their teamwork gives the story a human core beneath all the cyber intrigue. What stayed with me most was how the novel turns everyday conveniences into sources of vulnerability. Power grids, water systems, and communication networks suddenly feel fragile in a way that's difficult to ignore. Kevin McGuire balances technical detail with accessibility, making the cyber warfare elements easy to follow without losing their realism. Sleeper Code is a tense and thought-provoking techno-thriller that will especially appeal to readers who enjoy suspense rooted in dangers that feel alarmingly possible.

🌈Title: Sleeper Code ✍️Author: Kevin McGuire 📚Review: 📚⚡ I just finished "Sleeper Code" by Kevin McGuire, and wow, this was one of those thrillers that kept me glued to the pages from start to finish. As someone who usually enjoys fast paced suspense, this book delivered everything I was hoping for and more. What fascinated me most was how realistic the story felt. The idea of a self learning cyber weapon hiding inside critical infrastructure is genuinely unsettling, and the author does an excellent job of making the threat feel believable. Every time Max Shaw and his team uncovered a new piece of the puzzle, I felt the tension rising. 😱💻 I really enjoyed the characters, especially Max, Tara, and Sam. They felt like real people carrying their own personal struggles while trying to prevent a national catastrophe. Their teamwork, determination, and emotional depth made me care about what happened to them beyond the action itself. The pacing is sharp, with plenty of twists, high stakes moments, and suspenseful scenes that kept me turning pages late into the night. I also appreciated how the technical aspects of cybersecurity were explained clearly without becoming overwhelming. What makes "Sleeper Code" stand out is its combination of cutting edge technology and human emotion. It is thrilling, intelligent, and thought provoking all at once. If you enjoy cyber thrillers, espionage, and stories that feel frighteningly possible, this is definitely a book I would recommend. 🔥📖⚡ . #books #bookstagram #book #booklover #reading

🖤𝘓𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘴?🖤 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 Y'all. This book? It was intense. It hooked me from the first word to the last. I found myself completely engrossed in this story. It felt so real! Watching Max Shaw, Tara Lin, and Sam Rourke battle their way through this story of realistic elements was incredible. . . Spent the past week in New York, Baltimore, and Washington with some incredible people I now have the privilege of calling friends. I couldn’t have asked for a better publishing and marketing team. @bookdr.smiley and Perfect Publishing have exceeded my expectations and continue to go above and beyond for me. It doesn’t surprise me though… God’s plan always works out in His perfect timing. A little over a year ago, Facebook connected Ken and I (probably because we have the same hairstyle 😂). We talked, I went on his podcast, and a month later he just so happened to be in Santa Barbara, all the way from Baltimore, promoting @balancedrobin new book. He invited me out, we connected in person, and that’s when everything shifted. He told me I needed to write a book. A goal I had already started… and quit… more than once. Truth is, I never felt ready. Never felt “qualified.” But here’s what I’ve learned… You will NEVER feel ready to do anything that actually matters. The answer isn’t to wait… it’s to lean into your faith and go anyway. So we got to work. Some days I was fired up. A lot of days I doubted myself. Anxiety showed up more times than I can count. But I trusted God… and I kept going. I took the same mindset I’ve built in the gym and applied it here… you do the work regardless of how you feel. I don’t have every step figured out. But I have a vision. And I have faith. And when you truly trust God, He doesn’t just meet your expectations… He exceeds them in ways you never could have planned. This is what it looks like to bet on yourself… This is what it means to have faith over fear… Thank you everyone for an amazing week and inspiring me to think bigger. #faithoverfear #playbigger #thinkbigger #driven #mindset

Happy Audiobook Release day Sleeper Code By @daydrinkingwithkevin Preformed by @austinrisingofficial Produced by @bluenoseaudio 🎧ALC review 🎧 🎧5⭐️ 📚4⭐️ This isn't my normal read, I wanted to try something different, I glad I did. it sucks you in from the beginning. I felt like I was there with them, going through the cyber threats thats how good Austin Rising is at narrating this book. Fast paced a heart pounding, nerves wrecking thriller, it had me shook. But so long as there were those willing to stand guard— to fight in the shadows, to evolve alongside the enemy— humanity would never be defenseless. “Controlled? You can’t cage something that doesn’t think in walls. The minute you try to study it, it studies you back. That’s not curiosity— it’s survival instinct.” #psychologicalsuspense #cyberthriller #cyberwarfare #thriller #newrelease
