What to wear?

The Air Jordan 1 x Zion Williamson ‘Voodoo Alternate’ or as I like to refer to is as “Voodoo 2.0” feels like chaos stitched together into art. Raw edges, mismatched panels, upside down details, voodoo-inspired symbolism… like somebody handcrafted a sneaker out of New Orleans folklore and Zion’s personality. Loud without trying too hard. The kind of pair that turns into a whole conversation before people even ask what it is.

Then the Sneaker Politics x Saucony ProGrid Omni 9 ‘Sportsman’s Paradise’ comes in completely different. Quiet storytelling. Marsh greens, muddy browns, fishing-net textures, wetland colors, little nods to Louisiana wildlife and outdoor culture. Less “look at me” and more “if you know, you know.”

One shoe feels like a character. The other feels like a place.

The Zion is energy, superstition, music, late nights, and personality. The Saucony is humidity, moss, fishing docks, bayou mornings, and Southern nostalgia.

That’s what makes sneaker storytelling is so special to me. It actually is a huge part of why I get a pair of sneaks.

As a sneaker enthusiasist it has never or will be ever about about hype or resale. It’s about whether a shoe actually makes you feel something when you wear it. I am a true believer of “wear your shit” and “wear what you love, not what others love.”

Today’s dilemma: p#Do I wear the loud storyteller or the quiet masterpiece?

*The Zion Voodoo 2.0 feels like a character.
* The Sneaker Politics Saucony feels like a place.

The Zion tells your story when you wear it.

The Saucony tells Louisiana’s story when you wear it.

Hmmmmmm…what to wear…what to wear?
