Kingston’s dancehall scene has a new name pushing to the front of the line. On August 21, KeemoXG released his debut EP, XG for President, via Dethwrld Records and Catalog Music Group - and the project wasted no time making noise, landing on reggae and overall album charts across nine territories spanning Europe, the Caribbean and beyond.

The project charted across several territories, highlighted by a No. 2 showing on the Reggae Albums chart in Turks & Caicos Islands, where it also reached No. 12 overall. XG for President also earned chart placements in Ukraine, Finland, Guyana, Hungary, Belgium, Italy and Jamaica.

Hailing from August Town, KeemoXG had been building momentum ahead of the EP with singles including “Birkin,” “Visa,” “RIFF RAFF” and “Not for Sale” featuring Krissonic.

Leading the project is “Potion,” his collaboration with AyoDaze and producer ProdByWalkz, which has emerged as the EP’s most-streamed track.

AyoDaze, who also serves as KeemoXG’s manager, has been a consistent presence across his catalogue and a key part of shaping his melodic, modern dancehall sound.

With XG for President, KeemoXG makes an encouraging opening statement as he looks to push his name beyond Jamaica.
