Real hoopers and real artist have it the worse in the creative space, (basketball is creative & art, I actually wrote a paper about this in college and did well 😂) There’s hoopers that ONLY play at the same gym every week and they actually do well, they get the calls, they hit the same shots, get unlimited love by everyone there, don’t have to ask for next often because everyone in THAT gym loves them. You might even hear people in that gym that don’t know better that really think this person could have played D-1 basketball or go pro. Artist too, you have artist that only move around in a boxed in space and get their opinions on their music by people that like them and want to see them win so if that artist can’t think outside of their “algorithm” they think they’re him/her over even A-List artist and that artist thinks the same. I always say take advantage of this, if you’re able to garner attention from a group of people, turn them into your community. REALLY improve on the presentation and quality of your brand, don’t stay the same. Build a team and a plan to eventually monetize this attention, package it, sell it, keep your stats/data & repeat. The music space is about to get so weird with the expansion of the independent space. (Labels falling would mean more label ready artist will share a space with you.) You’re going to start seeing (my predictions) Bigger artist performing at small venues for a high price. More festivals. I can see an “Independent Music Awards” show coming within the next 7 years. And much more (I’m done giving yall my ideas, cause y’all steal them and act like y’all came up with it, I have a note in my phone of a few of you that have done it and the details of the transaction.) You’re going to need your own money and marketing., if you need help with this as an artist, send us a message now.
