🩸✨ Ending Period Poverty, One Event at a Time ✨🩸

A few days ago, I had the privilege of speaking at a menstrual health outreach focused on empowering young girls with knowledge, confidence, and the resources they need to manage their periods with dignity, and I've consistently done this over the years.

We had honest conversations about menstruation—debunking common myths, discussing what is normal and what may require medical attention, understanding the menstrual cycle and ovulation, learning how to track cycle patterns, and encouraging young girls to become more aware of their bodies.

One of the most rewarding moments was seeing the participants actively engage, ask questions, and realize that periods are not something to be ashamed of, but a natural part of growing up.

We also demonstrated the proper use of sanitary pads and distributed menstrual hygiene materials to support girls who may not always have access to them. Because no girl should miss opportunities, confidence, or comfort simply because of her period.

The fight against period poverty is not only about providing sanitary products; it is also about education, awareness, dignity, and breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation.

A special thank you to AnnRebirth Foundation for creating this platform and for the incredible work they continue to do in supporting and empowering young people. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an important cause.

Together, we can create a world where every girl is informed, supported, and empowered. 💜

With AIESEC in Abuja, celebrating World Menstrual Hygiene Day with some of the Girlie's at Government Secondary School, Giri, Abuja.

Did we learn? Yes!
Was impact made? Of course yes! With over 180 girls!

The goal remains, ensuring that girls who cannot afford to, get sanitary pads provided for them every month. With your help, this can be achieved.
