Things I’m Trying to do Differently With My Photography, Chapter 6: Candids

Some of these, I’ve already shared, but, IDGAF.🤣Candids are weird to me because of the voyeuristic aspect; it’s obviously different when people are riding. Yet, some candids end up being shots I find the most compelling. Funny how that works.

1) @fullpullgravityracing’s @peejaydigs leads a small group literally among the first to see the chute at the top of the track on Saturday morning.

2) @lostinspa_ce in a pensive moment also near the top of the chute (IIRC).

3) @austin__tansey, @cadek2o2, @karlynne_siverling & @jonny_biker take a moment at the part of the course near the top where you drop in by the wind turbine. (Oh and that reminds me, I need to clean my sensor today.)

4) @jackzenoni provides a teachable moment for @dconte123 and some @killingtonmountainschool riders I don’t recognize.

5) @jonny_biker & @karlynne_siverling discuss a new section before dropping in. Also, family.

Sorry about the music, had to do it.🤣

That’s all for now, gotta go pack for Lake Placid...

p2 at thunder this past weekend! I was definitely riding a little reserved after a crash in practice on Saturday. Really happy to walk away with no major injuries and even happier to have a couple weeks off from racing to reset before the next block!!

One thing I know about people who succeed is that they react differently to failure.
When @hudsonnablo has a great race he looks at what things helped make that happen and when he has a bad race he immediately looks for what to change and doubles down on the process. I can’t wait to see what these years hold for him. PROUD 🥹
