Our @blkazrun and the entire Arizona community came together this past Saturday @tangeroutletsphoenix to make history with Arizona’s very first Annual Black History Month 5K Race & Festival 🏁✊🏾

Seeing hundreds of people show up, run together, celebrate together, and honor Black history and culture in such a powerful way meant everything to us. What started as a vision has now become the beginning of a tradition.

We’re incredibly grateful for every runner, volunteer, vendor, sponsor, and supporter who helped bring this event to life. Your energy, presence, and belief in what we’re building made this day truly unforgettable.

We’ve poured so much heart into building this platform so we can create meaningful experiences like this — moments that celebrate Black excellence, community, health, and culture.

And this is only the beginning.
Year 1 was something special, and we’re excited to grow this tradition with you for many years to come.

Today, our Legacy Spotlight shines on Deserie Nickole, Owner of DoubleDub Visuals. A creative force dedicated to capturing truth through film and photography. What began as a childhood passion for storytelling has evolved into a mission to reveal authenticity, emotion, and the power within real stories.

For Deserie, the lens is more than a tool, it’s a reflection of the soul, reminding us that truth is art.

💭 Mission + Inspiration
Deserie has been a storyteller since childhood, drawn to the art of expressing life’s emotions through words and visuals. Film school opened the door to screenwriting, filmmaking, and photography. Where she discovered her love for capturing realism without the journal.

“Authenticity and truth have always been the two pillars of my inspiration,” she shares. Her goal is to tell stories that make people feel and remember who they are.

“You are limitless in your journey to success, and no one can stop that journey but you.”

🔥 Impact + Growth
Deserie’s greatest lesson came from learning to protect her peace. As an empath, she once allowed environments to drain her light, but through self-awareness and grounding walks in nature, gym sessions, and journaling, she rediscovered her clarity.

“So protect your peace by any means necessary,” she says, living by her mantra:
