A LETTER TO MY 3-YEAR OLD SELF:

Hey Kiddo,

It’s your 25-year old self here. I just thought to give you an update on how life has been thus far.

At this point, you’re an only child but you’re going to become an older brother twice. Though it felt strange and annoying at first, it actually is one of the most rewarding things to happen to you.

You go from seeing friends almost everyday to seeing some once in a few years and others never again, so learn to cherish the moments you spend with people and don’t take them for granted because it last forever.

Mum and Dad still love you a lot and constantly tell you how proud you make them, even though you rarely feel like you’re doing enough. However, you start to focus more on the journey and less on the outcome.

You constantly pursue self-improvement and you’ll have some successes in life but even more failures and disappointments. Though the failures do hurt, you learn the road to success is built on failure and disappointment. You don’t have an ounce of quit in you and that’s something you can held your head high about.

You’re going to go through periods where you’ll lose that smile on your face. However, no matter how much life seemingly wants to make me abandon you for good, you always seem to make a comeback one way or the other. You are one hell of a resilient guy, and always try to find the positive in situations. Believe it or not at some point, you were one hell of a pessimist. Thank goodness that phase is behind you.

At this point, if someone asks you ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’, you’ll probably say you want to be a doctor or Spider-Man or some other shit (yeah, we cuss now). However, you decide you want to be a lawyer at about 7 and stick to that.

Today you go on to become a lawyer, a goal you haven’t even set for yourself yet. Congratulations! However, don’t rest on your laurels. This is just one in a long list of goals you’ve set for yourself. We still have much to do.

Everything I do, I keep you in mind and I hope you’re somewhat proud.

P.S, GET DADDY TO BUY SOME BITCOIN IN 2008 😭😭😭.

Love always,
Your 25-year old self x.

Chapter 19 was a real defining one and learnt so much. Added many great characters to what will hopefully be a great story. Here’s to chapter 20 🥂
