First month or so of 30 went kinda like this ^^
•
It’s officially way too hot in ATL for a girly with sensory issues like mine to be expected to brave the outdoors for long periods of time soo I’m really embracing the Art of the Cuddle with my distinguished little old ladies. That, and living my best gremlin life by scurrying around in the shadows at night or on rooftops as you can see at the end. Next stop, spooky season.
•
Notable happenings:
-The first film I co-wrote, co-cast, and assisted with talent direction on, REEK, premiered at @cobbinternationalfilmfestival 🎞️ Seeing it onscreen surrounded by a lovely chunk of our amazing team (and my dad, yay!) was surreal. S/o to @rebekahtadros for winning Best Lead Actress in a Short Film. So proud of what we made. @raveneye_studio
-I exploded a bottle of balsamic vinaigrette all over myself at 1 am because I wanted a sauce for my ✨girl dinner✨of baby corn and various pickled snacks
-My angel @jalenbobalen moved to the big apple because she’s the bravest human and we will all miss her friggin terribly
-I introduced the younger generation to the cornerstone of my culture (Salad Fingers) and @amyxlynn may never be the same
-My first two potted sunflowers bloomed and here’s to hoping we’ll see the next five do the same before the cold comes 🌻
-My dad @raymariner and I learned that VR is at least marginally better in 2026 than that one Bob’s Burgers episode made it look. Very cool getting to visit the ISS with the only bigger space nerd in the family than me 🪐
-In the days surrounding my birth anniversary, @jussssjessss and @carrotsjeffers (not pictured because we’re chaotic and life occurs more often than photos) surprised me with various romantic gestures, further solidifying my belief that men make intimacy look and feel way harder than it actually is (for legal reasons I’m joking don’t get ur tighty whities in a twist)

The Two Goddess Looks that required the most transformation, we created from all practical effects. Makeup, Lighting, Body Paint, Camera Lens hell even a faux heart that looked like it bled when bit into.

For Nyx/ Nut we used glow in the powder and mixed with various mediums to get that right consistency, splatter painted my body, exposed the powder to UV light in between shots, and shot in the dark.

These are two Goddesses of my ongoing personal project “Embodiment of the Divine Feminine” A photographic series exploring the various archetypes of Goddesses from various pantheons, a psychological exploration of the many aspects of self, and a literal form of Worship. 🙏🏽

Somehow @olivia_duffin let me gaff our wedding

First of all, this was absolutely the most amazing day ever. Everything was perfect. Liv and I really wanted to add elements to our wedding that felt like us, so naturally I wanted to create a whole dive bar within our wedding.

It started with the truck, then the neon signs came, and the bistro lights soon after, but to really sell it, I wanted it to be filled with some deep red lighting, so I began putting up @aputure.lighting storm 80c’s pointing down. I used a bunch of @kondorblue cinejaws to get these rigged. And then to give a blanket of light over everything I used a 600c ii from far using barn doors/honeycomb to control it.

So ultimately, 4x 80c’s and 1x 600cii were used. But the catch was, it was looting all weekend long, so I had to let these lights stay out there for DAYS In the dumping rain, and they all held up beautifully.

Beyond pumped to be releasing this long-form piece celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the @xxl 2016 Freshman Class. The class was a pivotal moment in music history and it was a pleasure to work with such a long list of talented artists, executives and journalists to help bring it to life. Check out the trailer!
