A Goodbye to Flickers 2025 🤎

I don't have the right words in how to close that year, but just felt ever more grateful and thankful.

Thank you to the first ever Front Ensemble vets to age out at Meraki for not only trusting me, but also growing with it.

Thank you to the staff and everyone who was a part of the growth so far in this journey.

i’m kidding :p i genuinely believe that fate strung us all together to endure whatever the hell this season was. you are all such fantastic people in practically every regard, and i grew as a musician & person out of pure admiration and respect for the amazing souls around me. i have endless amounts of gratitude for this season and i’m deeply honored to have grown alongside this organization.

two seasons of indoor is three more than i ever thought i’d do, but i’m glad it was with you all and no one else. you will always be my home, meraki <3

Getting to march an Independent World group has been a dream of mine since my senior year in 2022, and I was so quickly reality-checked with how much work would be required. I left the show reveal thinking "I'm gonna have to play those runs at the highest possible level by April" and every weekend I would show up and prove to myself that I belonged on this line.

This season was also the most stressed outside of the season I have ever been. Designing my first ever indoor drumline show for my high school, teaching that show, being an editor for my university newspaper, going to classes, and then going to rehearsal was the most stressed I have ever been.

But I would do it all again, and I would relive every single day of this season, the good, the bad, the worse, because I would never feel that I had to face this stress alone.

In a time of my life where there are so many endings, graduation of college, WGI career ending soon and my last potential season of DCI coming up, Meraki 2025 will be a benchmark, a core memory, a story that I retell when people me what my favorite season was to march.

Eventually, I will age out and return to a normal life where I do normal adult things in my normal adult job. I will flash through every single season I will have marched, and I hope that when this season pops up, it slows down just enough that I can relieve every single moment with this group again.

Meraki 25' ❤️‍🔥

Here's to all of the smiles, tears, sweat, and genuine love. I couldn't have asked for a better ensemble to not only perform with but to have as a family.

Thank you to the Meraki movers. Being in such a large line made the season so much fun. From the laughing one minute to have our techs challenge us the next. Truly, there was never a dull moment with everyone, and I'm so incredibly grateful for you all.

Thank you to @allisoncautin, @a_aron_omar, and @harrisontoma97 . A visual staff dream team and some of the best teachers. Thank you for pushing me every weekend even when I thought I couldn't.

Thank you to pit and battery for always being fun and being such incredible musicians.

Lastly, thank you to everyone again. Every single performer and staff member made Meraki home for me. To an absolutely undeniable season!! Love you all 🫶

Meraki 2025: Flickers

This season has been so amazing and has taught me so much. I can’t even begin to explain how much each and every single member of this ensemble means to me. I genuinely have so much love for everyone who contributed to making this show what it became, both staff and members. I’ll never be able to forget the love, appreciation, and support that everyone poured into this season.
To my fellow movers; I love you all so much and am beyond grateful to have had a season of growth and love with each of you! You all make it worth it for me!
And I can’t thank my boyfriend Julien enough for introducing such an amazing sport into my life! I wouldn’t even be here without you and your love for this art! Thank you for allowing me to share this activity with you! I love you so so much!
I can’t wait to do it all again next year for the final time 🥲
