This project is very special to me and I am so grateful to Malachi for pulling me to the side while we were on the set of @verminhorrorshort to share he wanted me to lens @deadening_short 👻 Real recognizes real and this project has led to such a meaningful collaboration 🫂 Horror is really capturing my heart lately and I love the film community I’ve developed over the years in Los Angeles. Cheers to indie cinema and making more films 🤘🏼🎥

‼️SHORT FILM UPDATE‼️ Nothing worth doing or creating is easy. That’s why I know this project of mine will be worth every challenge—because its story needs to be told. We still need your support, however.
Help create the unique, *non-regurgitated* movies you want to see out there. See the 🔗 in my bio for more info!

Something has been approaching for a long time now👀 Yall, the crowdfund for my proof of concept, horror short-film — Deadening — has officially launched! After nearly a decade of working and learning the craft of independent filmmaking and production, my directorial-debut is a deeply personal project that discusses themes of Black existentialism and mental health through a genre-bending perspective. The link to the full campaign video is in our bio. More news and updates coming soon. Thank you for the growing, continued support!!

S/O to our incredible composer @atticusderrickson for the music. Just a TASTE of what’s to come…

After a long period of waiting and preparation, it's difficult to put into words what it feels like to finally share something that has lived inside me for so long. I often wondered if holding on too tightly to this dream would cause the opportunity to pass me by. Yet, in learning to nurture myself as both an artist and an individual, I’ve come to understand how vital it is to do the same with my creations. With that growth, I’m excited to introduce Deadening to the world! I look forward to sharing the journey of pre-production and all the moments that lie ahead. Substack is available in my bio. I invite you to follow along and be part of this experience—follow the film’s page to stay connected with every step of the process:)
