Log session 💪😂

Warmed up to 45kg, everything moving nicely, little technique tweak… feeling good.

Then someone (@habitual_strength_uk) casually loaded 50kg on the log. 🙃
That did NOT go to plan. 😂

Hoping it was just fatigue and 50kg will stop embarrassing me next time. 🤞

Backed off to 42.5kg x 5 to salvage some dignity.

Seated sandbag extensions 🥲
3 x 8 @ 40kg — a new form of torture added to the programme. Lovely.

BUT… THE HIGHLIGHT 👇

🔥 **RDLs: 100kg x 5!** 🎉🎉
85kg x 5 x 2

Finished with tricep pushdowns because as always I hadn't suffered enough.

Not every session is a win, but 100kg for 5 on RDLs? I'll absolutely take that! 💪🔥

100kg RDLs?! 🍑🔥 Turns out the girl who started lifting 20kg can move a little more than that now 😂💪

Progress over perfection… and occasionally celebrating the fact I didn't fold in half 🤣🏋️‍♀️

360% back on it this week.

Work needs 120% from me

My business needs 120% from me

And I've gotta put in 120% to make some progress before January, or I'll embarrass myself at Malton's Strongest.

The only person whipping me into shape is me, so feel free to bully me into working even harder.

Client appreciation

Steph walked into the gym with me back in March to learn to use free weights since then she’s jumped into a Beginners comp in May and ended the year with a run out in Novice/Inters and didn’t look out of place and hit PBs on everything. Who can ask for anything more than that. Big things ahead for her as I pass the reigns to @ashley_pinkney123 who’s going to handle Steph from now so I can concentrate on being a supportive BF and not a harsh coach lol

Smiles all day cheered everyone on and always talking people up along the way. The best girl I know and she’s mine 👏👏👏

💪🏻🔥 CONGRATULATIONS to the winners of Strongest in the North! 🔥💪🏻

Huge well done to @shanehurley2021 , @scottturnbull1981 and @jaymeleigh14 for putting on a show at @northern_sp! 🏆👏🏻

Gutted I couldn’t make it along with the @deadlft.co.uk team 💀, but I’ve heard everyone absolutely put in a blinder! 💥💪🏻

And of course, the old pal @tenerifeviking managed to make an appearance despite the injury… and the fresh haircut! 😂✂️😜

Hopefully, I’ll catch up with you all in Málaga! 🇪🇸🍻

💙 CHARITY PARTNER ANNOUNCEMENT 🚁

We’re incredibly pleased to announce that @yorkshireairambulance will be joining us as our charity partner for NHS Strongest 2027 – Strength Beyond the Shift!

Following some fantastic discussions with the YAA team, we’re excited to be working together to make the first NHS Strongest something special.

As part of this partnership, 10% of all athlete entry fees will be donated directly to Yorkshire Air Ambulance, alongside 100% of any additional charitable fundraising throughout the event.

But their support doesn’t stop there!

Yorkshire Air Ambulance are also helping us with the event itself, from supporting us on competition day to connecting us with local businesses, food vendors and accommodation providers.

🚁 ATHLETE FUNDRAISING

If any of our athletes would like to take on their own individual fundraising challenge for Yorkshire Air Ambulance alongside their NHS Strongest journey, please get in touch!

Whether that’s getting sponsorship from friends, family and colleagues or setting up your own fundraising page, we’d love to help you get involved and raise as much as possible for this fantastic charity.

NHS Strongest has always been about more than lifting weights. It’s about bringing people together from across health and social care, celebrating the people behind the uniforms and job titles, and hopefully making a positive difference along the way.

Having an organisation that provides such a vital lifesaving service supporting what we’re building means a great deal.

A massive thank you to everyone at Yorkshire Air Ambulance for getting behind NHS Strongest. We can’t wait to welcome you to @strengthcircusltd in February!

Different roles. Different backgrounds. One NHS.
