It all started with the Dead Things Art Show and a guitar donated for charity.

I walked into a guitar store and asked if they would donate an instrument for me to woodburn and help raise money. The response to that first piece gave me the courage to burn my own Martin, and soon, people began asking me to work on theirs.

Working on guitars gave me another way to create while being home as a dad. What started as a charity project became a goal to build a collection of my own. A gallery of instruments showcasing my woodburning. Every time that collection starts coming together, a few find new homes. That’s something I’m grateful for.

Now, I’m taking commissions from people around the world.

After nearly 20 years, tattooing remains my first priority. The guitars come to life on days off and whenever a cancellation opens up time to create.

Thank you to everyone who has commissioned a piece, shared my work, or encouraged me along the way. Your support has helped turn one donated guitar into something I never expected.

The show this year had a buzz! The word on the floor was that everyone kept busy over the weekend and celebrated seeing new and old friends. In this video, I dropped by to ask a few people, "What was the highlight of your Weekend?" I ended the video with the hosts of NIX 26 and the total amount raised by the Deadthings art show for the Canadian Electric Tattoo Scene book project.
