A few days ago, I was photographing people on a catamaran.

This week, I was standing in Deadvlei before sunrise photographing an elopement.
On paper, these are completely different jobs.

But they don't feel different to me.
In both, I'm looking for the moment people forget about the camera.
The way someone reaches for their partner's hand.
The laugh between two photographs.
The nervousness before something important happens.
The little things nobody put on the timeline.
Namibia is a spectacular backdrop.
But I'm increasingly interested in what happens inside the landscape.
The people.
The experience.
The in-between bits.
That's the stuff I want to photograph.

Namibia completely stole our hearts 🇳🇦 14 days, ~4,600 km, 10 unforgettable stops – and honestly one of the best road trips we’ve ever done.

The route:
Windhoek → Kalahari → Fish River Canyon → Kolmanskop → Sossusvlei & Deadvlei → Swakopmund → Spitzkoppe → Etosha National Park

From climbing red dunes at sunrise and wandering through a ghost town half-buried in sand, to watching lions at a waterhole on our final days – no two days looked the same.

Self-driving in our @asco_car_hire Hilux was the best decision: empty gravel roads, total freedom, and sunsets from the rooftop tent. Yes, it’s a lot of driving – but in Namibia, the drive IS the destination.

Save this itinerary for your own Namibia road trip 📌 And tell us – do you like this format? 🧡

“It’s a wonderful world”

というMr.Childrenの曲があって、

“この醜くも美しい世界で”
“この世界は今日も美しい” という歌詞が

ナミビアにいるとき、ずっと脳内リピート。
(そして今Dear wonderful world との違いを知った)

ほんとにナミビアでは
あぁ世界は美しいと思う絶景がたくさんあって
心が浄化されました。

南半球でしか見えないとのことで、後で知ったけど、銀河を見ながら別の銀河を見ていたみたい。

今回、ナミビアではオンリーワントラベルさんの

I can't wait to sort through all the photos from my Namibia tour but first I have a week of workshops ahead of me... here is a little group that I couldn't resist quickly editing from the surreal Dead Vlei where the landscape is constantly transformed by the light and shadow.
I'm busy planning my 2027 trip so if you'd like to join me for an adventure in some of the world's most amazing locations, keep the first two weeks of April free. 😉
