Today, on October 15th for the International Wave of Light, let’s join together to light up the dark in honor of every single baby remembered here and all those held quietly in our hearts.

To the families who walked through the devastation of miscarriage, TFMR, late-term loss, stillbirth, or holding their babies for only a few precious moments:

Your loss is not forgotten.

Their lives, no matter how short, changed the world forever.

Holding a baby for a moment means loving them for a lifetime.

Today for Stillbirth Remembrance Day, the Quiet Connection community is coming together to honor the reality that far too many parents navigate in isolation.

We remember the sweet babies who are part of the Quiet Connection family, and we honor the countless little ones held in the hearts of families everywhere whose names aren’t written here.

Grief isn’t a linear process, and it definitely doesn’t come with an expiration date.

When you’re grieving the loss of your child, the world keeps moving around you, often forgetting how much courage it takes to just get through the day.

It’s okay if today feels heavy.

It’s okay if you’re holding deep sorrow right alongside your daily routine.

Your love for your child is endless, and so is their place in your family’s story.

You don’t have to pretend to be strong here.

I’m saying their names today out loud, with love, respect, and zero expectation for you to “move on.”

Dear William,

Life literally feels like an endless roller coaster ride. And I don’t like rollercoasters.
Still, I look back at these photos and remind myself that joy and sorrow coexist.
Now for the really harsh reality, William… I’m so sorry but I have not been taking care of myself as much as I should. I made a promise that I would continue to heal and do my best, but I won’t lie, I’ve been doing the bare minimum. The anxiety and depression have become overwhelming, and I’ve found myself rotting in bed. My eating habits have not been healthy. My energy levels are in an all time low. The saddest part is that I am the only one getting in the way.
I never thought I’d find myself in rock bottom.
However, this is not an excuse. I am not proud for not fighting, but maybe I needed to get to my lowest to have this wake up call.
My sweet boy, I’m so sorry for letting you down. I promised you that I would always choose love, hold onto hope, and keep my faith strong. I let you, your daddy, and myself down.
But our story doesn’t end here. It’s so important that the hardships are acknowledged so that the moments of triumph are just as impactful. Seeing your tia and papa graduate is proof that you can do anything as long as you put the work into it.
It is not going to be easy. Life will always be challenging but it’s what you do that truly shapes the experience.
Your daddy started his bachelor’s degree program way before you were ever conceived. He was working a full time job at the same time. Then you entered our world and your papa was more motivated than ever. He got a second job to help out. Things were looking up but then you died. Your father was still working two jobs and doing homework while mourning your death.
A month after your first birthday, he passed all of his classes and received his Bachelor’s degree. At first he didn’t want to attend the graduation ceremony in May, but he thought of you and then decided he wanted to walk in honor of you, mi niño.
What a beautiful and special tribute to your memory.
We are proud to be your parents and we are never going to give up. Even when all seems hopeless, no one gets left behind.

Today, March 25th, is Say Their Name Day. A day to honor and remember all of the little ones lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss.

Experiences like these show why ongoing care and connection matter more than ever.
