✨ A Fab Bookish Day Out ✨

I spent my morning at the @literaryescapefestival in Glasgow yesterday morning with my book besties @shannons_spicy_bookclub and @natashaharrisonxx and had a fab time meeting some indie authors and bookish businesses.

On the way home I popped into Tkmaxx, HMV and The Works and was super proud of myself for not buying any books! Then I got off the bus and popped into my local hospice cherry shop and bought 3 books for £1 and then popped into my own works and bought some books on their 3 for £7.50 deal! I tried but couldn’t resist! More to add to the never ending TBR 😂

I bought a cute Kindle Sleeve from @deargreenreads, there were so many to choose from 🥰

I then got some cool bookmarks from @bruce.e.donan again so many good choices but I went with the Game of Thrones and IT bookmarks 🖤

I also stopped by @arlenerosecrafts and there were sooooo many amazing bookish goodies to chose from but I went with a new bookmark 💀 perfect for this time of year

@peggyspages was here and her art work is absolutely stunning, I wish I could have bought one of her sprayed edges but I know I will one day, maybe even a commission 👀

I also stopped by a few indie authors and bookish businesses, tagged below! They were all so lovely 🫶🏻

Dragon Week Special

@deargreenreads

As a massive lover of all things dragon - and with the BookTok community eagerly awaiting Threshing Day, the next book in Rebecca Yarros's Empyrean series - I couldn't resist putting together a whole week dedicated to dragons!

I bought this fabulous kindle sleeve at a Book Festival earlier in the year but had to feature it again for Dragon Week.

It is beautifully made and super quilted so it has saved my kindle from certain destruction a few times 😂💜

They make all sorts of fabulous designs and items so please check them out and give them a like, comment, follow and share!

Had such a lovely time at @literaryescapefestival in Leeds! spoke to so many lovely people and authors, however I do fear my bank will never recover... I need to be stopped from buying books, immediately - that being said, go support indie authors!!🫶🏼

#bookstagram #booksbooksbooks #booklover

Spoke to the lovely @paolasantanabooks about her book 'Playing with Fire' and it's second book 'Glowing Embers'! - so excited to get stuck in🔥

Where Summer Left Us by @authorpatriciaprior honestly has the most gorgeous sprayed edges I own - I'm a sucker for a second chance trope so I'm super excited to get reading this one🌼🩷

how gorgeous is this book jacket by @deargreenreads 💋🌺 it's honestly saved my book from many an accidents, as I do just be throwing them in my bag oops🫣

I went on a side quest today to visit @literaryescapefestival in Leeds ✨

I picked up a few bookish goodies from some amazing small businesses, so I thought I'd show you what I picked up 😍✨

Swipe to see 👆🏻⬅️

🏷️ Bookish Merch | Bookish Goodies | Small Businesses | Bookstagram | Book Lover | Book Girlie | Book Community |

I picked up the A4 print on the previous slide and these gorgeous bookmark and sticker from @thebookofhearts_ .

Her video on here was one of the reasons I decided to go, and it was lovely to meet her and have a look through all her amazing merch.

I'd love a plot twist tote bag if you ever make any in the future 😉

Thank you for being so kind 🫶🏻 and I hope you had a lovely day ♥️

The guys at @midgard.crafting were an absolute pleasure to meet. Their stall was always busy and it didn't come as a surprise when I saw all the amazing bookish goodies they had on offer 😍

I picked up this mystery fantasy book, packed to the rafters with goodies. Drop your guesses of the book title in the comments and I'll reveal later! I can't wait to open this but it almost feels like a crime, it's wrapped so beautifully ♥️

Thank you for being so lovely, and aiming your fan at me for a few minutes so this fragile red head could cool down 😅🫶🏻

I had a lovely time speaking to Lexi from @whimsical.wicks.candles about what goes into making these divine bookish candles.

I chose 'Book Club' with pink pomelo, raspberry and rum 🤤 and it smells absolutely gorgeous. This will be my go to reading candle from now on 😍

Thank you for taking the time to speak to me Lexi 🫶🏻

I picked up some sticker packs and a really lovely fabric bookmark from @deargreenreads ✨🫶🏻

She also sold book and kindle sleeves, but also had fabric paperback jackets, to protect your books whilst out and about, which I thought were amazing!

☀️ My current read… ☀️

I’m enjoying a #readalong of the first in the Cazalet Chronicles, The Light Years by Elizabeth Jane Howard. It’s a wonderful historical family saga with a huge cast of characters (thank heavens for the family tree printed in the front of the book). It’s a lovely chunky book and I’m really going to enjoy sinking my teeth in to this one… I love being on holiday and having lots of time for leisurely reading.

Thank you @bookbreakuk for organising this and sending a #gifted copy of the book.

❓What was the last buddy read or readalong that you took part in?
