Most MCAT advice focuses on what to buy.

The reality? Most score improvements come from how you use your resources, not how many you have.

If we were starting from scratch today, we’d keep it simple:

✅ AAMC Bundle
✅ UWorld
✅ Free MCAT books from Jack Westin
✅ A system for tracking mistakes and weak areas

That’s it.

Too many students spend hundreds (or thousands) collecting resources they never fully use. We’d rather master a few high-quality tools than spread ourselves thin across ten different platforms.

A few lessons we wish we knew earlier:

📌 Review is more important than volume
📌 Every missed question is a learning opportunity
📌 Track your mistakes instead of hoping they disappear
📌 Consistency beats cramming every single time

Swipe through for the resources we’d actually recommend and exactly how we’d use them.

💬 Comment “MCAT” and we’ll send you the links.

📚 Save this for your next study session.

POV: You graduated from UC Davis, but some things still feel familiar.

For Ellie ’25, life after graduation looks a little different now that she’s pre-med, but the routines that carried her through Davis are still part of the journey: early mornings, study sessions, scrubs and a lot of hard work.

Aggies, what’s something from your UC Davis days that still shows up in your life now?
