✨ Birthday Book Mail Appreciation Post ✨

February was my birthday month, and I saved all my book mail so I could open everything together… and let me just say- it was WORTH IT 🥹📚

From birthday book clubs, to the sweetest besties, to giveaway wins (!!) my 🩷 and my shelves are so full.

I’m endlessly grateful for this little corner of the internet and the friendships it’s brought into my life. You all made turning 40 feel extra special 💕

Thank you for thinking of me, celebrating me, and fueling my never-ending TBR. 🫶🏽🥰

Book mail...from myself 🤪

At the end of last year I won a couple of giveaways and received some gift cards to @bookshop_org. I probably debated for way too long about what books to buy 😅 I ended up deciding on Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman and The Ravens of London by Ryen Santana. I’ve been wanting to read both of these for quite a while now. I also convinced my husband to read DCC. He’s not much of a reader though, so we’ll see if he actually finishes it.

I want to take a minute to shine a light on Bookshop.org. If you’ve never heard of them, they are a great alternative to Amazon! Every purchase on the site helps financially supports independent bookstores. You can select a specific indie bookstore to support, or if you don’t choose a store, your purchase will contribute to the profit sharing pool that helps all the stores. You can also set up a wishlist. People will be able to purchase books off your wishlist and it sends directly to you!

Thank you @sirenbee_readsnthings and @dearspicyreader for the gift cards!

Name in Tropes Game

Thank you for the tag @literalleebookish 🫶🩷 This looked so fun after seeing your name in tropes! I will say it took a little time figuring out the "i" and "n" in my name, but I was able to find tropes I liked 😆

What is your name in tropes?

✨TBR Pick 20 of 2025!✨

This time, The Bride to Be by @danielhurstbooks was chosen by @dearspicyreader and gifted to me by @rutheysbookstagram !

Fun Fact - I picked quite a few TBR books before we went on holiday in August (I’m SOOO late to posting all these!) and this is the first book I moved on to after getting engaged! You probably saw this featured in my announcement! 💍💜

Blurb:

What if saying yes was only the first mistake?

Kate is getting married. It’s an exciting time, but she has some doubts - her partner Mark sometimes mistreats her, and she is beginning to wonder if he is really “the one”.

Her concerns only grow when she spots a ridiculously happy couple during a wedding dress fitting. Realising that they have everything she wants, she becomes obsessed with the pair.

She decides that the groom, Tristan, is her ideal man and becomes fixated on getting closer to him. As she does, she discovers more and more about him and his seemingly perfect life with his bride-to-be, Tess.

And realises that below the surface they have their problems too.

As the wedding draws nearer, Kate has some big decisions to make. Should she leave Mark? Is Tristan the one she should really be with? And what will happen when the dark secrets that both couples are hiding come out into the open?

QOTD: What was your last 5⭐️ read?
