And then Sunday… the Anime & K-pop RPD 🪩💃 was a lot of fun! So many people jumping in, dancing, laughing, and just vibing together! ✨🌒Can you believe it’s been an entire year since I’ve joined @rockcandy.idols ?!🍬✨ I cannot express the amount of joy this group of amazing creative individuals have brought my life . I know I don’t talk much about my personal life struggles here ( I want this page to be a escape , a source of positivity , and inspiration ) but for a long time I was in a really low place .In 2018 I had a biological bomb dropped on my body ( from a medication that should’ve helped me but had the opposite affect ) . I was diagnosed with wide spread chronic pain that almost cost me my careeer and my creative hobbies . Sadly this happened in the middle of me having my own cosplay idol group (which I had to reluctantly had to disband right in the beginning stages of it’s development). this crushed me . As a creative person I could no longer draw , tattoo , or perform. Some years went by (thankfully my condition slightly improved)but I honestly thought that I missed my shot at the “Idol” thing…. And then I saw it : @whimsycosplay reposted that RCI was looking for a “Ruby” cosplayer . Something felt perfect about this . “ maybe I should ask…” I thought over for a while …and then I finally sent a message showing interest, What could it hurt ?” And that’s when my journey began! It didn’t take me long to realize how special every single member in RCI was. The support I feel from them and their kindness is absolutely unmatched . Every member of RCI is special. Whether it be @milezofsmilezcosplay uplifting everyone’s spirits, @sumiyumecos making my cry laughing in the group chat , @cloakedapprentice and @cate.cosplay who always keep it real, @whimsycosplay and @pinkubun bringing me the “party” 🤣 , @she.vampire ‘s warm and caring heart , @starry_arcana ‘s kind spirit , AND everyone else I can’t fit in here( lol there’s so many of you I can’t tag you all🤣 🫶🏻!) . Performing and making friends with you all has given me purpose and a new outlook on life , Something I have to look forward to ,and the courage to do the things that make my life feel enriched. Ctcon 2024 my first ever ctcon was so much fun. I got to see so many friends and got to spend time with some of my close friends and had such a good time. Every cosplayer I complimented was so kind and it was just so fun. I got meet va’s I’ve been wanting to for a while and got to debut a new cosplay too. I hope to come back for more days next year.
