Est. 1997 - Portland, OR
MIDNIGHT ROAD now available through @wyrd_war and on the DEATHCHARGE bandcamp.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

DEATHCHARGE - “Love Was Born To An Early Death” LP. Released 31 October 2011 on Unseen Forces.

Portland’s long-running darkest d-beat goth band’s first 12” release turns 15 this month, after a slew of 7” EPs released since the late 90s. This release marked a well noted transition in genre styles. It was a concept album of sorts, in which all of their tracks were considered one large single composition.

Today was chosen specifically to post this release, as DEATHCHARGE played an historic gig with Japan’s finest rawpunk act DISCLOSE, 5 October 2004. Based on the flyer alone, holy shit, what a gig.

Today is Bandcamp Friday, but if you reside in the Pacific Northwest you can come to @coffinclubpdx and purchase a copy of @deathcharge.official’s haunting full length LP Midnight Road directly from the band. Is there a song inspired by PHANTASM (1979) on this album? Find out. “The funeral is about to begin, sir!”

🦇 Tonight @coffinclubpdx 🦇
@kommunityfk23official with @deathcharge.official and @moodofasinner
Foos 8:00 pm show 8:00 pm

‘Born from the original Los Angeles punk underground, Kommunity FK are widely regarded as the architects of deathrock itself. Formed in the late ’70s, they helped shape the sound, aesthetics, and raw intensity that would define the genre for generations. This is not a revival — this is the source. Seeing Kommunity FK live is a rare chance to witness the originators of a movement that still pulses through goth and dark punk today.
Joined by Deathcharge and Mood of a Sinner, this night bridges eras of deathrock — from its feral beginnings to its modern descendants.
The OG deathrock meets its modern heirs!
🦇⚰️

Followed by Shadowplay : DJ Crankenstein’
