POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Classic literature has shaped culture, but not all of us see ourselves reflected in its narratives. Black and African artists featured among the pages of our Art Novels — @thepassionsdeep_gallery @debayoatanda @thuku_d #MarianettaPorter @mekiamachine — reframe the canon through revelation and perspective, expanding narratives for readers of all kinds. Wrapped in grace, even on the days I didn’t feel strong enough.
Held by a love that doesn’t ask me to perform, explain, or prove myself.
Kept by God in moments seen and unseen, in prayers whispered and tears never shared.

I’m learning that healing doesn’t always make noise.
Sometimes it looks like rest.
Sometimes it looks like choosing peace.
Sometimes it’s simply trusting that God knows the weight I carry and still holds me close.

This season, I’m grateful for a faith that anchors me,
a love that reassures me,
and a God who never lets go 🤍

Wrapped in grace.
Held by love.
Kept by God.

The Headwear (Statement):
The bright red cap or beanie is the immediate focal point, covered in contrasting white, possibly embroidered or appliquéd, details (like faces or cartoon graphics). This adds a playful, maximalist, and highly individualistic punch of color to the otherwise dark and muted core outfit.

The Outerwear (Vintage Edge:
The dark brown leather jacket has a distinct vintage look, possibly a 70s or early 80s style bomber or cafe racer jacket. Its worn texture and visible stitching add character, grounding the outfit with a rugged, classic masculinity.

The Shirt & Tie:
A crisp white collared shirt maintains a neat base. The patterned necktie is highly detailed, featuring a complex, possibly gold or yellow-dominant graphic print. A gold tie pin or lapel pin (likely a figure or motif) is placed prominently on the jacket, adding an unexpected, decorative focal point.

The Trousers:
The light grey/lavender pleated trousers are cut with a relaxed, slightly wide leg, contrasting the fitted jacket. The light color provides necessary relief and modernity against the heaviness of the brown leather and black shoes, ensuring the look isn't too dark.

Footwear:
Simple black dress shoes (likely leather oxfords or similar) provide a clean, formal finish, anchoring the wide trousers and maintaining the polished feel established by the shirt and tie.

Accessories;
Dark, rectangular sunglasses give the look a mysterious, high-fashion attitude. The visible rings and wristwatch further emphasize a detailed, intentional approach to personal styling.
