Happy 2 years of dance post! I’m so proud of myself and all the growth I’ve experienced this year, my first training groups, concept videos, and performances, my first advanced classes. I’ve met some of my closest friends this year through dance and I’m so lucky to be a part of this beautiful community.

I want to thank all the people who have supported my progress, my teachers, friends in class, strangers, my friends who have sacrificed their time to come watch me dance and listened to me ramble about how much I love to dance. I wouldn’t be the dancer I am and have the confidence to do this without all of you 💗

Here’s an insight into the last year, congrats if you make it to the end!

‼️ ATTENTION ‼️

Protect queer art.
Pro Black isn’t Anti White.
Food is a right.
Girls just want to walk home.
I’m somebody not ‘some body.’
Let me piss in peace.
Protect the dolls.
Fuck AI.
Not your experiment.
Mental health matters.
A dress is not a yes.

For too long, we’ve made ourselves smaller. Softer. More palatable.
That chapter is paused.

The world doesn’t need polite art right now it needs truth. It needs noise. It needs us, unapologetic.

Because while we’ve been creating, these spaces are disappearing:
Nightclubs are predicted to close entirely by 2029.
Grassroots music venues are shutting down every month.
Over half of LGBTQ+ venues are already gone.

And these spaces? They were never just nightlife.
They are safety.
They are self-expression.
They are culture, community, and freedom.

For so many of us, the club was where we found ourselves.
Where dance was born. Where identity was claimed. Where survival turned into joy.

Now those spaces are being replaced by algorithms, watered-down art, and performative visibility.
And honestly it’s not enough.

We want more.
We demand more.

We demand safer, inclusive spaces.
We call out the harm, the exploitation, the people in power who abuse it.
Because for many, art wasn’t a luxury, it was a lifeline.

Protect art.
Protect music.
Protect queer spaces.

Protect the future.
