Ariane’s new single ‘American Movie’ is OUT!!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

10 Years of Danico

Sweet Banane comes from our seventh menu.

Rum, banana and coconut — three flavors that obviously love each other. But we wanted to make the combination lighter and a little less obvious.

We use Planteray 3 Stars and OFTD with coconut water, banana, our spice blend and whey. The whey gives us a beautifully clear drink while keeping the texture and roundness you expect from banana.

Tropical, spicy, rich but surprisingly clean. Basically, all the comfort of a big banana rum drink, without drinking dessert.

Back at Danico for the 10-year anniversary menu, until September.

Open a coconut and you’re halfway there. 🥥

This is how Planteray Cut & Dry is made.

Ripe coconuts harvested, cracked open and laid outside to dry in the Caribbean sun. The dried coconut chunks are then infused into a blend of Barbados column still and pot still rum, before being married with rum aged up to three years old.

No artificial flavouring. No shortcuts. Just coconut and rum the way it should be.

I visited the distillery in Barbados to see it first hand. The coconut drinking was purely for research purposes. 😄

Our fastest growing rum in our portfolio and honestly… once you know how it’s made, you understand why.

A random bunch of pics from an amazing trip to the @stadesrumdistillery in Barbados last month, made even more special because the lovely @sachsy was able to join me. She’s a tequila gal but somehow managed to taste lots of delicious rum (and cognac) and lived to tell the tale. Our gracious host @alexandregabriel.masterblender gave us a tour of the distillery, which includes restored pot stills dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. And better yet, we got to taste rums made on those stills, as well as some special bottlings of @stadesrum and @planterayrum. We got to find out how sugarcane is bred (NSFW, guys), we visited the farm where coconuts for Planteray’s Cut N’ Dry rum are sourced (and saw dwarf coconut trees!), we ate insanely delicious food, spent an afternoon on a catamaran, had a lot of laughs, and an inside joke for the ages was born. Just say to any of us “I did a nickel there!” and we will dissolve into hysterics and/or immediately tell you the story. What I’m trying to say is it was a fab time, and @itsmanuelasavona is, as always, the hostess with the mostest. Oh, and h/t to @gclaywhittaker, who took many of the pics and was a delightful traveling companion as always. #barbados🇧🇧 #rumlife #drinkporn #foodporn #bringyourwifetoworktrip
