Five years ago today, this song was released.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put into words what this song has meant to me. It’s been there through grief, anxiety, depression, and some of the hardest seasons of my life, bringing me comfort when I needed it most and reminding me that healing isn’t always linear.

Over the past few months, after losing my grandmother, this song became an even bigger part of my healing journey. I found myself listening to it so much more after she passed because, in a way, it became a piece of the relationship I had with her.

One of my favorite memories is the day she called me, grabbed her iPad, looked up the music video, and watched it with me over the phone. It was such a simple moment, but it’s one I’ll always hold close to my heart. Every time I hear this song now, I think of her.

Every time @jordymusic plays this song live, I break down. No matter how many times I’ve heard it, it hits me just as hard. But somewhere along the way, it’s also become tied to some of my favorite memories—singing it surrounded by people who understand, feeling seen, and remembering how far I’ve come.

Five years later, this song still feels like home. Thank you, bubs for creating something that has carried me through so much💙 @jordymusic

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully explain what this song has meant to me.

I found it when I was a senior in high school, right when it was released, never knowing it would become something I’d carry with me through so many versions of myself.

This music has been there through grief, struggles with my mental health, and some of the hardest moments of my life. There have been nights where I’ve been in the middle of a panic attack and this song has been one of the only things that could calm me down and help me feel grounded again. The people closest to me have seen firsthand how much it means to me.

Two and a half years later, I’ve finally finished my Tomorrow tattoos. What started as a song I loved became a safe place, a reminder of everything I’ve made it through, and a permanent piece of my story.

The last few months have been some of the hardest as I’ve navigated an unexpected loss. My grandmother always used to ask me when I would see you again every time I called her. Having you draw these tattoos for me in NYC after those months is something I’ll never be able to fully put into words.

I truly believe seeing you again was her way of watching out for me. I can’t listen to “Till It Hurts” without crying now, but the kindness you showed me when I needed it most is something I’ll never forget.

Thank you for creating something that has helped me get through so much. These tattoos will always remind me of where I was, how far I’ve come, and how much this music means to me.

I can’t wait to see you soon. I love you till it hurts me, bubs. 💙 @jordymusic

*long and emotional post coming*

5 years ago a song was released that was going to change lives even if @jordymusic and @ostonmusic didn’t know it yet. On November 5th 2021, this song was a part of Jordy’s album Mind Games. At that time, I was a senior in high school struggling to find myself in the LGBTQ+ (more specifically non binary) community. I was struggling to accept myself as non binary and was struggling mentally. I felt like no one was ever going to understand how it felt to have anxiety, no matter how many times I tried to explain it no matter how many different sentences I used or word phrasing nothing ever felt like I could explain it growing up. Everything changed when I found this song. It has been my comfort in the chaos, light on my darkest days, and most importantly has reminded me time and time again that my feelings are real and valid. Unless you have anxiety yourself or you chronically overthink, I truly don’t feel like you will ever understand the struggle. This song has truly gotten me through my worst panic attacks, overthinking spirals, and ROUGH days. I feel a sense of pride when I listen to this song. I know it must’ve been hard to put out into the world, but this song has been there no matter what. I got two tattoos for this song almost exactly a year apart. I look down every single day and see a reminder that no matter how hard things get and no matter how bad things are to keep going and to not be so hard on myself. Thank you both for letting us into your deepest thoughts. This song has healed me in so many ways. I’m endlessly grateful for this song and both of you. I hope to hear this song live again soon. I can’t wait to see you both soon!! I love you both till it hurts💙

“So, why don’t we go somewhere only we know”~

4 years ago I walked into my first @jordymusic show in Boston and my life changed forever. I found a sense of community where I feel I belong, and I experienced the atmosphere and energy in the room and it is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in the best way possible. Over the past 4 years I’ve been to 7 shows. I wouldn’t trade standing at the barricade until my body almost gives out, making bracelets until my hands can’t anymore, and having no voice the next day from screaming the lyrics to every song for anything. Seeing Jordy perform and light up on stage is one of my favorite things. @jordymusic You are a force to be reckoned with. I can’t wait to see you soon and to make more memories. I love you till it hurts me💙

*long and emotional post coming*
In July 2021 I was scrolling on TikTok and @jordymusic came up on my fyp. I didn’t know at the time, but his shows, community, and music would become three of my favorite things and one of the safest places I’ve ever found. When I came out at 16, I had no one to look up to in the LGBTQ community. When I found Jordy, I didn’t feel alone and I found a sense of community. 4 years ago today I made this fan account right before Mind Games tour, and I didn’t realize it would have such a big impact on me. It was the start of something extremely special. I’ll never forget walking into the Mind Games tour and Jordy knowing my name. I swear, I almost did a double take. Fast forward to May 2022, I was on Twitter and started talking to another fan @itsdaltonparkinson, and soon after that we became best friends. he has made one of the biggest impacts on my life than any friendship has, and is not only my best friend, but my big brother figure as well. (bestie if you read this I love you SO much). This past summer, we just met in person for the first time and got matching Till It Hurts tattoos. The past 4 years have been filled with changes and growth, but the one thing that has stayed the same is my love for screaming the lyrics on tour, jamming out to your songs, feeling safe at your shows, and of course seeing you every time you come back to Boston. Even though I don’t post as much now, this community is still my favorite. Over the past four years, I’ve definitely dealt with some tough times, and your music and tours feel like a big hug when I’m struggling. Your compassion for your fans is something truly unmatched and we’re SO lucky. Thank you for always reminding me through your music that it’s gonna be okay, and thank you for always being SO kind, and giving the best hugs. I’m so grateful for this journey and all the special moments. Between live streams, shows, new releases, and of course getting so much comfort and hugs when I need it the most. I genuinely can’t even express my gratitude for you, the art and community you’ve created, and your compassion. I can’t wait to see you soon!! I love you till it hurts me bubs💙 @jordymusic

Happy one year to this moment!! @jordymusic Thank you for reminding me that my identity is valid, and that being myself is a gift.
