Towards the end of my high school years I spent the majority of my time w this girl right here. Christy (Montague) McCarty. We were more like sisters from the start. We had big plans of going to college together and moving off somewhere far away afterwards. Those plans shifted when we both fell in love w the 2 boys who are now our husbands of 2 decades! Mine the local @cthurm1 and hers, states away from here. It’s been 16 years (idk how that’s possible, kids and life I guess) but we were able to connect in Nashville and Franklin this week and it took us less than 5 minutes to pick up exactly where we left off. True friendship w strong roots is just timeless. I am so thankful for that and for our friendship. Now it better not be 16 more years! 🤣 as a bonus she got to see my parents, who I’m convinced liked her way more than me back then 😂

Well, Dad is all packed up with only the drive to TN left. Been a busy few days but we are so excited for him to live near family again. I’ve been visiting Ft. Myers for 35 years, this is probably the last time on this side of the state. 😊
