Stay tuned for the opening of Dark Into Light! Volunteer members of the Headwaters Arts Gallery Committee (Carole Watson, Deb Menken and Suzanne Walsh) spent Monday taking in the fabulous art and hanging the show. Always a challenge to put the pieces together in such a way that they all shine, each in their own way. But it really came together in the end and the show looks amazing!!! So keep an eye out for more details to follow soon. #headwaters #gtaartgallery #artsandculture #dufferincounty #caledon #orangeville #artgalleries #altonvillage #artinpeel

What an absolutely phenomenal afternoon! Thank you artists, judges, volunteers and attendees!!

In the final round we saw @graetzart @debmenkenart @brendaloschiavofineart and @kaylajackson_art go head to head!

Our judges @markgriceartist @m.compeau @sueartiste @margitaylor each anonymously awarded $50 to the artist of their choice. It was a real tough call and each artist ended up winning $50 in this round!

The final audience vote landed @debmenkenart the coveted deer foot trophy made by our Blacksmith Jason and dubbed her the official winner of The Competition Vol. Two!

Congratulations Deb Menken🎉

The Competition Vol. Two Artist:
@debmenkenart

Reposted from @debmenkenart I want to be an abstract artist! I keep saying that and I keep doing other things. Things that I have loved doing no doubt but I always come back to my first artistic love (thought I should qualify that lol). When I picture myself doing big bold abstracts, they always have a lot of black in them and yet I have never once done that! Not sure why, maybe it’s fear. So here is to new beginnings. I plan to spend the next bunch of months focussing on abstract pieces. I am sooo excited!!! #artexperiments #artexplorations #artjourney #findingmyvoice #bigboldabstracts #debmenkenart #artstudiolife #abstractexplorations #thecompetitioneventseries #thecompetition

With every painting Deb sells Onthe9, 20% of the proceeds go to a local charity.

Lisa, a recent guest, fell in love with Deb's painting.

Deb came by to collect the painting today and deliver it to Lisa.

Since we now have an open spot, showcase and show-off your art Onthe9 😍.
