THE LAST DRAFT is headed to South Pasadena. 🎃 I’m thrilled that the film has been selected for competition at the inaugural Sugarmynt Cinescare Horror Film Festival on Saturday, November 7, 2026. This is a live outdoor horror event at Sugarmynt Gallery, located behind the original Michael Myers house from Halloween. For a psychological thriller about a writer haunted by what he creates, it is about as perfect a setting as I could imagine. The Last Draft is a 12-minute slow-burn psychological thriller about an isolated novelist whose writer’s block turns into a terrifying collision between fiction and reality. The final four minutes change everything. The 2026 festival run has already brought us five wins: • Best Horror First-Time Director, Chicago Horror Film Festival • Best Horror/Thriller, Cotati Shorts • Best Horror Short, NoHo CineFest • Best Horror-Thriller and Best Visual Effects, Monza Film Fest Major nominations include Best Director at the New York Science Fiction & Horror Film Festival, Best Horror Short at FilmQuest, Best Thriller Short at New York CineFest, three Venice Shorts nominations, and Psychological Thriller at GeekFest Long Beach Comic Con. We were also a WorldFest-Houston finalist and received an Honorable Mention at Hollywood ShortsFest. Before Cinescare, I’ll be in New York for SOHO17 on October 10 and at GeekFest LA Comic Con on October 31. Thank you to everyone who has supported the film, believed in it, and helped move it forward. I’m honored to bring The Last Draft to this inaugural festival and can’t wait to share it with the horror community. Every masterpiece demands a sacrifice. #TheLastDraft #Cinescare #Sugarmynt #SouthPasadena #Halloween HorrorFilmFestival PsychologicalThriller IndieHorror FilmFestival ChicagoHorrorFilmFestival FilmQuest GeekFest
