Congratulations to Debra Swack for her exhibition of Animal Patterning Project: a synthetic bio-art project about the displaced indigenous animal in the urban environment and its reintroduction. 🔎 It is currently being featured in Becoming Feral, sponsored by the University of Wisconsin and the Scotland Conservatoire, and in Doomscroll, Leonardo's (MIT) Pavilion at the Wrong Biennale #5 through March 1, 2022 (curated by Raphael Arar and Simon Boas). It is a 2021 recipient of a City Arts grant from the NYC Dept. Of Cultural Affairs and the New York Foundation for the Arts. Commissioned by Pratt Institute and the West Harlem Art Fund and adapted for dance in 2015 (Art Daily), it was performed at night on a NYC street with original music mastered at Banff Centre, whom the specialist has a long history with, and did her Fulbright Specialist grant in 2015. 📷 View the work via our link in bio or becoming.ink/animal-patterning-project 👁
