the plover in my backyard
i see them fly over me, gazing up
the sun sits behind them
you know they have laid eggs when the bird flies over
leading you to follow, fawning
away from their shallow nest in the rocks and soil
chirping their song in the night

We found heaven in Detroit💋 All my music loving, dancing loving, and community loving DIVAS need to be at the Hotter Than July• Arts & Film Festival to see a screening of Heaven in Detroit: A Sanctuary of Sound-

Directed by Chris INPAQ Sutton. A celebration of the legacy of Club Heaven and Detroit’s Black LGBTQ+ community @heavenindetroit

💋

There is nothing like Pride month in Detroit. We know how to turn up a dance floor, build a tight knit community, and create fucking magic together with our art, souls, and minds. So much gratitude for every diva who came before us to make this life worth living
