DECA Done!

I’m so grateful for everything this club has shown me and taught me. Not just through the skills I’ve built in competition, but through my amazing chapter and family in @shhsdeca_ and my experience as a State Officer with @colorado.deca. I couldn’t be more thankful for the people I’ve met through it and the amazing memories. All of this being over is so unreal to me. But I’m also SO excited to move on.

District 8, I seriously don’t even know how to say goodbye. Getting to serve as your Rep this year has meant everything to me. From the chaos, to the laughs, to all the unforgettable memories, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Thank you for trusting me, supporting me, and making this year so special.

Colorado DECA…

What an incredible past four years it has been but my how fast it went. It seems like just yesterday I was attending my first states, completely blown away by the broadmoor. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I’d become the CO DECA State President, but here I am, and I couldn’t have done it without any of you. Thank you all for making my time so special and for the constant love and support.

Being apart of this organization has completely changed my life and I am forever grateful. It has been my greatest honor to serve as a state officer these last two years and especially to serve as your president.

To my team.. I love you all endlessly and can’t believe it’s over. It has been an absolute blast working with you all. You are some of the most amazing people I have ever met and I was truly the luckiest to have you all as my team. Thank you for your endless love and support. I truly could not have done it without you.

And to my girls @decaavery and @deca.ellastorey I am so proud of the both of you. You are both such strong and wonderful ladies and the team is lucky to have you. I’m so excited to see what you accomplish next year.

Finally to my sweet @clarasissel, words cannot express how proud I am of you. Colorado DECA is lucky to have you as their president.

With the conclusion of the 2025-26 Colorado DECA year, I would like to take a moment to thank everyone in District 9 from the advisors to each and every member for the support, encouragement, and commitment to our amazing district. Colorado DECA would truly not be the same without District 9 and I’m am blessed to have been the leader of 6 amazing chapters!

In a few days my DECA story as President will be nearing its end, and I simply can’t believe it. It seems unreal that this organization that has completely changed my life is almost done for me. Reflecting back over these past years I feel nothing but gratitude. Gratitude for the people, lessons and memories I have gained. DECA has forever shaped my life, and I am able to look back on my story with pride. While I am so sad that this story must end, I know that my life is just beginning, and I always have the opportunity to come back and read this chapter. There has been so much growth over my time in DECA and I simply would not be the person I am today without it and all of you. Thank you to everyone who has touched my life. It has been the greatest honor to be apart of this journey with you all. I decided to make a little scrapbook for my memories since freshman year, feeling only fitting to demonstrate my story. I will see you all for the final chapter this coming weekend, and I hope you all have your pens ready to write your next chapter. Cherish these moments and cherish the people you meet, it goes oh so fast. Thank you Colorado DECA, I will see you all very soon! @colorado.deca #shapeyourstory
