DECA Done!

I’m so grateful for everything this club has shown me and taught me. Not just through the skills I’ve built in competition, but through my amazing chapter and family in @shhsdeca_ and my experience as a State Officer with @colorado.deca. I couldn’t be more thankful for the people I’ve met through it and the amazing memories. All of this being over is so unreal to me. But I’m also SO excited to move on.

one could say, I’m a dreamer.

Some goodbyes hurt a little more when they’re attached to a dream you gave your whole heart to. And still, I can’t help but wonder how I became so lucky to be surrounded by a community like this. My time in this blazer has officially ended, and while the finish line looks different than I imagined, I am overwhelmed with a peace I didn’t expect.

While I would have loved to keep pouring into the people who built the mosaic of my heart, I truly cannot be disappointed. I showed up fully, as myself, and gave everything I had. If my journey in this organization ends here, that is okay. I have to trust that there will always be spaces where I am enough, exactly as I am. Titles are only borrowed for a season, but purpose is permanent. I know exactly where my worth is found. ❤️‍🔥✝️

To Analise, Tot, and Dhara: going on this wild roller coaster with you all is something I cannot put into words. I am so sorry I couldn’t bring this home for us, but please know your place in my heart goes far beyond any election result. You are the greatest prize I could have won.

To South Carolina DECA: thank you for shaping me. I am so thankful to have been a part of a family of 3,600+ individuals. You taught me what it truly means to care for a community.

To every advisor: thank you for seeing more in me than I saw in myself. I hope I was a good steward of your belief in me. I can never repay you for pouring into my life when I was just finding my way.

To DECA: thank you for helping me find my signature so that I could truly seal it with success exactly as I am.

To every association: remember my words. You are enough, exactly as you are. Do not let a room that doesn’t choose you convince you that you are not a choice. Your value does not change based on a ballot. Keep fighting for what’s right, always smile, and always stay true to who you are!

I can’t wait to watch you all continue to seal your own signature of success.

My time is actually up this time, but my heart is beyond full. Consider your signature sealed!🫀

The March Western Region Member of the Month is a member who has created an impact in her position for her association, not just this year, but for two years in a row. From being active on her social platforms, advocating for DECA and her support for local organizations in her state that her association has partnered with, such as Kenzie’s causes, this member could not be more deserving of member of the month! From the moment I met her last ICDC, she has been such a warm and welcoming voice in our organization and it has been an absolute pleasure watching her serve her terms in office. 🔹💫
