Communion S20 EP 11
.
We’re headlining Communion this Sunday at the Cabooze from 9-10pm!!
|| DJ ADD // FNK // D UNTETHERED // MUTUAL IDENTITIES (live) ||
.
This booking has a ton of layers to it, and we wanted to give thanks to Intellephunk and Communion Sundays for being major supporters of us throughout this ever-changing sonic experience we call Mutual Identities.
.
Steve, Jas, Christian, Miles, Dee, and all the friends we met centered around this music – it always felt like home since the moment we became engulfed within their orbits.
.
Miles (FNK) and Dee (D Untethered) are our musical soul siblings.
.
Miles booked Mutual Identities for our very first show in November of 2019 at Wizard Haus. He saw something in us that no one else could see. He gave us our kick-start to conceptualize that “this project can work; we can do this”.
.
We are forever grateful for his belief in our music, photography and videography.
.
We met Dee at Miles’ farmstead at the first artist retreat in 2021, the same location where the series of Prairie Fyre/Prairie Cat festivals took place. We made our first true “dance single” that weekend with God’s Drugs called “Moment of Truth”. That weekend changed the trajectory of our artistic output.
.
Fast forward a bit, Dee, Miles, AKKO, and so many other friends blended their creative skills to create things like Decadance, Prairie Fyre, Bound Space, Enigma parties featuring Bound Space Artists, and so many other wonderful projects and pursuits.
We also fought through many tough times from George Floyd’s murder, to losing friends and family far too soon, standing up for the rights and protection of the most vulnerable, and demanding police reform/abolition.
.
This is bill also features one of the most fervent defenders of vulnerable communities DJ ADD. We are honored to share the bill with Aaron.
.
We know this is the right place with the right people.
We are going to give it our all this Sunday.
SYOTDF.

I’ve been saying all week that returning to @decadancemn tonight feels like a homecoming. Miles @duntethered & I organized this party from 21-24 with @iam.veo and I feel it’ll be a cathartic experience for all of us to come together again. Some Deca photos from over the years(:

Myself, Miles @worldofscifi at @uptownvfw tonight from 10-2! House music all night. Maybe see you at the other thing afterwords🫣

See you 🫰🏽

So was this conversation with the three DJs, the full version of which will be dropped by @backtothecitympls this weekend.
