On Tuesday, May 20th 2025, the City of Philadelphia will host a series of municipal elections, as it and other counties across Pennsylvania will, to fill certain local government seats. The headliners include the District Attorney, the office currently held by Lawrence S. Krasner who is paid $211,495 annually, and the City Controller, the office currently held by Christy-Marie Brady who is paid $165,033 annually.

Additionally, Philadelphia will hold hyper-local elections for judge and majority & minority inspector of elections offices in each ward and division. The City of Philadelphia mailed out voter registration cards that include your two digit ward and division (i.e. 32-23). This is also a valid form of identification at your polling location, which is also printed on your card.

The Philly SJP Coalition launched our first action as a coalition on the anniversary of Operation: Al-Aqsa Flood. We remember our martyrs and our resistance as we protest one year of the zionist entity's genocide in Gaza. We refuse to allow the student intifada to lose momentum, and after rallying through Drexel and UPenn — home to Refaat Al-Areer Hall — we have announced our new target in honor of the Palestinian resistance and people. Pennovation houses Ghost Robotics, a corporation which manufactures robotic military dogs that are tested on Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza. Our campuses are united in our struggle to demand institutional divestment and the dismantling of Ghost Robotics.
