Summer may be over but I glossed over mine way too quick. Volunteering for the first time at a music festival was such a special opportunity I’m so thankful I got to enjoy. I’ve never experienced a small scale festival like this where it feels like everyone already knows each other and you’ve been reunited with long lost family. Even though I went alone I realized I was never actually alone. The freedom of expression, heartwarming satisfaction of keeping the mountain clean, and escaping in the music left me feeling so invigorated and refreshed. Having never heard of Big Dub before I will now never forget it, and can’t wait to be back again 🌄🌞🧚☮️👁️🐛✨🔮 #bigdubfestival #bigdub #lildub #moop

You want to know my favorite part about going to festivals? It’s not the music or the environment, it’s the people I chose to surround myself with at them!

Breakaway Mass this year was even BETTER than last year! I’m glad my group was able to come together and have a great time! Also happy I saw who I saw at the fest! 🫶🏻😁

Someone take me back to the nights where we wouldn’t stress about things and remember to take it slowly 🖤 @bigdubfestival was extremely magical this year, reconnecting with old friends and creating new family along the way. This year on the mountain was a bit different; I drove to the mountain prepared for ‘just another festival’ when I was hit with ultimately a different feeling…home.

Over the week, I spent time with the people I would call family for the rest of my life — these people have not only taken care of me in this quick week, they healed me, they cured my soul, they filled the missing pieces I had. To go from strangers to family in the matter of time goes to show how deep my life is for the community and this festival and I can’t wait to return with them next year.

These are just some simple memories that cannot capture how this week went for me. My favorite moment? Not even playing my set, not seeing headliners, it was spending time with my people whether it was at a stage or at camp.

Until next year, BIG DUBBBBBBBB 🖤
