“Transforming a Hardcover Notebook with Decoupage Queen’s ‘Percival’ Paper and Elegant Molds” - tutorial by @decoumag

I’m thrilled to present my latest creation for Decoupage Queen’s Spring Release!

Inspiration: Drawing inspiration from the exquisite “Percival” paper, a stunning piece by Teresa Rene Art, I aimed to transform a simple hardcover notebook into a luxurious accessory. The addition of the new Elegant Borders and Crowns molds further enhanced the notebook’s regal aesthetic.

Method:
🌟 1. Preparation: I began by painting the notebook cover with a crisp white base to ensure the designs would stand out.

🌟 2. Decoupage Application: On the front cover, I applied the “Percival” paper, ensuring a smooth finish. For the back cover, I selected a coordinating Decoupage Queen paper to maintain a cohesive look.

🌟 3. Spine Decoration: Using the Elegant Borders and Crowns molds, I crafted decorative elements with modeling paste to adorn the spine, adding depth and interest.

🌟 4. Painting: The spine was painted in a rich blue hue, seamlessly blending into the “Percival” imagery on the front. The raised embellishments were highlighted to accentuate their details with light paint and Metallic Wax Paste.

🌟 5. Stenciling: I incorporated Decoupage Queen stencils to introduce subtle patterns, enhancing the overall design without overpowering the main artwork.

🌟 6. Final Touch: A resin crown, crafted from the Crowns mold, was added as a focal point, symbolizing elegance and authority.

All products used, are from Decoupage Queen and Pentart.

🌸 Spring Elegance on a Wooden Cutting Board 🌸
I had the privilege of participating in the release of Decoupage Queen’s new collection this season, and I couldn’t wait to test out their stunning new molds and papers!
To create this piece, I first applied a white base coat to make the delicate details of the Spring Animals paper stand out beautifully. After carefully adhering the paper, I crafted the intricate frame and crown using air-dry clay and the brand-new molds.
To enhance the design, I blended soft pastel shades around the edges of the paper, hand-painted the remaining surface, and added tiny polka dots for a whimsical touch. Finally, I aged the piece slightly using wax and pigments, giving it a charming vintage feel.

Decoupage Venetian Masks by @decoumag ❤️
For this project, I immersed myself in the beauty of Venetian masks, crafting two unique designs using stunning Decoupage Queen papers and Pentart products. Each mask tells its own story through colors, patterns, and rich textures.
🎭 Peacock-Inspired Mask
For this vibrant piece, I combined Francois, Peacock Jewelled, and Carnival papers to create an elegant and mysterious look. I framed the mask with gold accents, Emerald Green glaze, and De Luxe paste, adding depth and dimension.
🎭 Red Venetian Mask
This mask features Dainty and the Queen, Beethoven, and Christmas Damask papers, enriched with hand-painted details and De Luxe paste for a touch of opulence.
To enhance both designs, I used Decor Pens to trace intricate lines and patterns, finishing with a high-gloss varnish for a polished look.
