Bay Bridge Half Marathon 2026
Chip time 1:54:30

Towards the end of 2025, I felt my fitness motivation start to plateau. While I still enjoyed lifting weights and powerlifting, I was itching for a new challenge. As much as I hated it, I decided to give running a try.

Six months and 100 runs later, I completed my first-ever half marathon! My two main goals were to finish in under two hours and to run the entire race without walking—both of which I accomplished! Balancing weight training four times a week with running four times a week was definitely a challenge, but it was all worth it in the end.

Big thanks to my wife, @kadcl_ for always supporting me through all these fitness journeys I go on. Shoutout to @kyle_smiles and @dedicated.snkrs for joining me on weekend long runs and pushing through with me! And as always, thanks to @lightasafeathermealprep for keeping my nutrition on point throughout the week!

This is only the beginning! Time to take a quick break and then start training for the SF Marathon!
