Let me share how this event came together…

When the largest shared Desi closet meets a luxury custom closet designer 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

@nikhil.saboo is my brother before anything. He’s the person who used to play with rollie pollies with me in the backyard, my first and best friend in every new city we moved to growing up (we moved to 5 different cities by high school), the person who inspired me to chase after my dreams in fashion and leave my cushy job at Deloitte because I saw him chasing his with acting. And now, this is the 3rd business we’ve cofounded together. And that’s just us - we’ve learned to build with each other, push one another, and now revolutionize an industry by building something that is so meaningful to us. Together. It’s the greatest gift that this experience has given us, building this together ♥️ Wouldn’t want to be doing this with anyone else by my side 🫶🏽

This whole night existed because of a chance meeting. In June, the owner of Lazzoni, Efe (pictured here), and his wife walked into our SoHo and asked with pure curiousness…”What is this?” We told them about our app and how we are the largest shared Desi closet. And Efe said “What, that’s wild. I make high-end furniture and custom closets. We should do something together!” And that’s when the idea of the larger shared Desi closet and luxury custom closet designer came together for Diwali 🪔

We are nothing without our amazing team @pareen_bhagat @amala.xo @hanianis786 ♥️

And our family - who has been there with us through all our crazy ideas, doing much of the unglamorous work that comes with building a startup - but their love and support powers this all ♥️

IT WAS A PARTY!!! 🎉

@emily.shah has an amazing Ayurvedic gin company @dharma.gin that totally fueled the dance party 🥃

The amazing food spread by @desigalli - there was nothing left by the end of the night!

Brought together so many wonderful people in one space ✨

And saw so many old friends 🤩

And new ones ❤️‍🔥

So thankful for everyone’s support!

Had so many fun activations from @houseofriva for blinging out our guests to @azha.usa for their fragrances in our refresher lounge 💎

Diwali season is officially here, which means parties, weddings, dinners… and A LOT of outfits.
