Have you heard of cupping kisses? Most of you will know that I like to be as holistic as possible with my health journey. I never want to just be taking meds for the sake of it.
You’ll also know that the last year or so has been a challenge physically for me. The last six months brutal and well, the last 3 have really taken their toll mentally, physically and emotionally.
Pneumonia has been the final nail in the coffin and although I’m recovering, this has really taken me out. It’s been such a long time now, that it’s difficult to find the good in every day and remind myself that I have so very much to be grateful for. My world has been consumed by pain for so long, I’m drowning in it all.
So……
Now that I’m able to do slightly more without my lungs being on fire. I’m going to do a wee series of posts on this road back again. Of the treatments and experiences I have as I try to navigate back to myself so to speak.
And just like life, it’s going to be holistic. I’ll keep up to date with traditional medicine and everything else I find useful or not in this latest recovery and recuperation.
Don’t worry, Dee is busy with other business but will be back when she can.
First up, I felt like a swamp creature. My hair was dull, I felt dull. I’ve gained more weight which really gets to me. Even though I know I’ve barely been outside for 6 months.
So I gathered my energy and went to see my amazing friend @martinecarrollkroma for a new Barnet. Peachy keen 😉 my hair always lifts my mood and it definitely did - I slept for 14 hours after the appointment but it was so worth it.
Back to the cupping kisses….
I had the real pleasure of meeting Suzy from @whiterabbitgla yesterday and going for her lymphomaniac treatment. Cont…

Behind the scenes @settheseenqpa .
Sadly the harsh reality of living with an invisible illness, when u over do it, you get really ill.
We are aware we are quiet just now and this is due to our wonderful social media queen that is @dawncurlywurly was taken into hospital over the weekend. She is recovering well and we send out all our love to her at this time.
Thank you for your understanding and patience, we will be back as soon as we can.❤️❤️❤️

Set The Seen - real stories part 2
FIBROMYALGIA

As Dee says here in this video, we know here at Set The Seen how difficult it is to share these very personal journeys but we truly believe that we need to advocate for ourselves to raise awareness and visibility surrounding invisible illness.

That’s why we still need you! Please contact us with your own stories, you can send a video, write it down or however you would like to share. We would love to hear from you and how you live with your condition.

Remember Set The Seen festival takes place on 28 May 2022

Big love 💛
