Happy World Humanitarian Day! 🌎

To mark the day, here is a glimpse of the phenomenal cinematography captured by our director, Damian Becerra, highlighting some of the people, places, and moments that helped shape Plástica.

Plástica is our documentary about reconstructive surgery, global health, and the incredible patients, surgeons and communities we have had the privilege to work with across Latin America. It is now available on YouTube. Link in bio!

We are also incredibly excited about the next chapter, the Luna Clinic, a nonprofit reconstructive surgery center currently under construction in Ecuador with the goal of expanding access to surgical care for patients who may otherwise go without it.

We are also very grateful to be part of Stanford Plastic Surgery, where global health, research, education, and collaboration with humanitarian organizations remain an important part of our training and mission.

There are no words, big enough for the gratitude we are carrying today. Yesterday was more than a wedding, it was a testament to what community looks like when it shows up fully...from the sacred land that held us, to the hands that set it all up and broke it all down. To the voices that sang, the elders, family and friends who blessed this union with traditional ceremony, the people who showed up with food, with music, with gifts, and with their whole hearts. You didn't just attend a wedding, you helped build memories that we will hold close to our hearts for the rest of our lives.
