Oslo, I’m still buzzing. ❤️‍🔥

Loved being behind the decks last night, doing my thing before Panjabi Hit Squad took over. Thank you for bringing that energy.

Big love to Welive and PHS for having me, and everyone who came through. More nights like this in O-town 🇳🇴🫶🏽

A flashback to hosting and MC’ing a festival with 2,500 people, to doing bhangra on stage with @panjabihitsquad 🔥🤗

The Global Coffee Culture Festival was a celebration of culture, music, dance and connection - and celebrating my culture was definitely one of my favourite moments. 🇮🇳

TBT.

Before there was RANIUM, there was a university kid in the UK who spent more time being behind the decks than in the library.

I organised and promoted events, DJ’d across the UK Asian music scene, and had the privilege of warming up for artists like RDB, Panjabi Hit Squad and Gubi Sandhu. (Had to brush up the quality on the pics 🤣)

Then great things happened. Career. Family. Different priorities.

But some passions don’t disappear - they evolve.

Twenty years later, here we are. RANIUM isn’t a new chapter. It’s the continuation of one that started over 20 years ago. 🎧

Some more wicked albums to get your evening going!! Currently selling these 2 albums by RK1 - ASIAN DJ CULTURE:

1. Life After Death (2001)
2. Panjabi Hit Squad The Album (2001) - SEALED

I only noticed today, that both these albums released in 2001. For some reason I thought PANJABI HIT SQUAD released a couple of years later.

I had realised a while back that even though I thought the second album was by PANJABI HIT SQUAD; that was actually the name of the album, and not the artists. The artists were actually ASIAN DJ CULTURE & MARKIE MARK, who I think, collectively, became known as @panjabihitsquad, either at the time of release, or after the success of it.

The inlay card explains the history behind the first album, which was a collaboration between good friends, late Raj Kalyan (RK1), and Amo, @deehitsquad, Ravi Patti, Raj & @bigfoodiesingh (ASIAN DJ CULTURE).

Unfortunately, whilst they’d all gone to India to gather vocals & music for the album; RAJ KALYAN sadly passed away, suffering a heart attack on the 21/02/1999. This year marks 27 years of Raj’s passing. May he always R.I.P. 🙏🏽

This album was completed in his memory by ADC to fulfill Raj’s dream, and the end product, released 2 years later, was absolutely brilliant.

I haven’t got as much info about the second album, because mine’s stored away, and the one I’m selling is sealed, however, just from looking at the cover it would seem that by the time this album released, Raj & Indy had left ADC, and the remaining 3 members joined forces with @markstrippel aka MARKIE MARK, to produce this album.

If you’d like to add any of these to your personal collection, please message me for the eBay links.

The auctions end tomorrow, Thursday 26th February 2026, so good luck with your bids 👍🏽

On 15th August, I played a 30:30 set on @bbcasiannetwork. Mixing tracks from inside and across the borders, music from the loud and bustling streets of Old Delhi to the still yet storied neighbourhoods of Sindh.
Music, I was raised on and then some that grew with me.

I wasn’t always sure about music and it seemed music wasn’t sure about me either.

It was in early 2023 that I met @asadkhan.life at TRU where I confessed unto him how ‘Butterflies’ got me through the toughest year of my life. He hugged me and said, every artist is a bridge — you crossed it through my music, now others will cross through yours.

In that instant, it stopped feeling like just a dream. It became a responsibility — to carry forward the same healing I had found in his music, and to give it back in my own way.

When they asked for a picture for the mix artwork, I knew I had to make it a tribute to that old me in doubt. So, here is the picture of the day I decided to put all the noise away and press the play button.

To make it even more special, I tried my hand at storytelling. Through music. The set was curated as a dialogue — two humans in love, speaking only in music. And so it had to close with a homecoming: @asadkhan.life’s Piya Ghar Aaya.

A few of my other favourites from the set are Sindhi by @asadkhan.life, Jatta by @imnotgillt and Nadaan Parindey Edit by @minus.musicc.

Full track list and mix out soon on @bbcsounds and other streaming platforms.

…

Thank you @deehitsquad from @panjabihitsquad for putting in a word. Watching that bass drop in South Hall Boiler Room is what made me get my first DJ controller. You are an inspiration.

A big shoutout to @sianymedz for scheduling me and making sure I put my best work forward. You are the best!

A year ago I was contemplating whether pursuing music was something I should do. Two years ago, I knew nothing about it. This year, I was on BBC.

Life is good.
