Brace yourself for Alicia.

Tonight’s @afrobeats_cheltenham and you know how this goes.

She’ll say she’s going to the bar.
You won’t see her for forty minutes.
Her phone will die.
Her jacket will end up with you.

The drinks she went for will never arrive.
You’ll find her right in front of the DJ booth.
Four new best friends and someone else’s sunglasses on.

Tomorrow’s the Silent Party.
Same Alicia. Now with headphones.
She still won’t hear you calling her.
Tag your Alicia. She knows.

It’s dark before the news finishes now.
If you’re leaving the house, the night better be worth it.

Friday: Afrobeats @afrobeats_cheltenham
Saturday: @finstainmorocco Silent Party.

🎧 Headphones on, volume up.

So explain why the first 25 minutes would be spent in a bar queue, holding a card, mouthing “two minutes” at your mates.

Do the admin from the sofa.
Walk in, sit down, drink appears.
That’s the standard now.
