POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A time was had in August, starting with the 18th Birthday Debut of the incomparable Leila Marie.

Yes, I understand this is an incredibly late post, but if you knew the number of MAJOR events my family has had in August—which was LITERALLY. EVERY. SINGLE. WEEKEND. — you’ll understand why I took some time off from sharing anything on IG.

But THIS? This event; this milestone of my baby girl’s life had to be documented on the ‘Gram, even if it meant that it was documented 30 days late.

Also, I gave a crap speech because I was doing my best trying to keep myself from ugly-crying, (which I was successful in NOT doing BTW) so I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took part in helping Alex and I raise this extraordinary young woman. So many of you have touched our life, our children’s lives and especially Leila’s life in some shape or form—from family to friends who became family, whether here in the Bay or all the way up in Sacramento, Seattle, Hawaii or Philippines—from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. We couldn’t have done any of this without you. And we definitely couldn’t have gotten by without my sisters, @hellaholly, @plantawareness, @charmr16 and @sporty49ic and brothers @stronger.wiser.faster and @djcaprise. And finally, to my Mama and Papa who provided a solid foundation and support to raise such incredible humans—I am forever indebted to you both.

To everyone who helped and contributed to making this day extra special to Leila: Jesse & Diana, Carlo & Mary Jean, Auntie Celia & Uncle Paul, Ingrid, Michelle, Mark, & Valerie, Devin, Logan, Mason & Aria, Lucky, Aris & Trisha, Ryan, Isaiah, & Zion, Ayden & Athena, Ira and Papa.

And an extra special thank you to @jenniferannlove, Holly and my Mama for going the extra mile for Lei on her day. ❤️

Miss Lei—the tremendous love and joy that has filled my heart since the day you came into my life has been one of the most precious and treasured blessings of it. I knew you were meant to bring the fire & light to my world and that couldn’t be any more true today.

You did that $h!t Lei! And you did it exactly how you were meant to, graduating MAGNA CUM LAUDE and headed to UC Santa Cruz! Regardless of the obstacles you faced throughout your high school career, you’ve met every single one with that fierce, tenacious, free-spirit that I’ve ALWAYS admired.

Dad and I are so proud of the beautiful, witty, intelligent, and funny, young woman you are growing into. And no matter where life takes you, know that we will ALWAYS be here to support you, guide you, and love you without condition.

The world ain’t ready for what you’re about to bring, Lei! Congratulations baby girl! We love you so much!

PS: Shout-Out to those that made it out today—it meant a lot to Lei and to the RamFam 🫶🏽! Thank you & love all of you!
