We’re pretty regular Chatime Canada people already, so when we saw they were doing 🧋2 large drinks for $10🧋for National Bubble Tea Month, we had to stop in.

We got the blueberry tea and my usual roasted milk tea this time, but the promo also includes pineapple passionfruit tea (new), lychee tea slush, QQ passionfruit juice, and honey green tea if you wanna mix it up.

This offer runs April 6–May 31, 2026 at Chatime locations across Ontario (and select locations in BC).

Redeem on Societea mobile orders or in-store kiosks using code NBBTM26.

Honestly a pretty good excuse to stop in multiple times this month!!

Honestly, I gotta say yes.

I’m usually skeptical about Vaughan restaurants because I’ve been spoiled by the quality of spots in downtown Toronto. But @penelopesocial might be changing the narrative.

I checked them out for the first time last night, right after they revamped their menu. When I tell you every bite hit, I’d go back for dinner again tonight. Here’s what we had:

Thai shrimp skewer: A great portion for a shared amuse bouche (or an app for one), with a beautiful char on the shrimp served in a rich, HOT coconut curry-style sauce.

Korean fried chicken sliders: This dish is everywhere right now, and honestly… nobody needs to reinvent the wheel. Penelope nailed the basics with perfectly juicy chicken and just enough slaw to brighten it up.

Big Mac pizza: I know this sounds controversial, but you have to try it. You get the familiar indulgent notes of McDonald’s infamous burger on excellent dough. Despite the cheese, burger meat, and sauce, it somehow isn’t greasy at all. The sweet pickles? Fab touch.

Apple ravioli: Don’t burn your mouth like I did. These little fried pouches filled with apple compote pair perfectly with vanilla bean ice cream and seal the deal on a great meal.

We paired everything with their Chinchilla (a peach-soju-forward, pisco-esque cocktail) and an espresso martini with Frangelico.

Penelope Social was bumping on a Friday night and honestly would probably do very well with the downtown crowd too. I usually don’t rush to re-book restaurants north of the city… but this one? She’s a winner, baby.

Would you try the Big Mac pizza or are you sticking with the sliders?
