šŸ’æ VANGUARD VAULTS #018 šŸ’æ šŸŽµ Matrix vs Goldtrix - Itā€™s Love (Trippinā€™) šŸ“€ Serious Records | 2003 āœØ Some records crossed genresā€¦ others conquered them. At the height of Drum & Bassā€™ underground explosion, Jamie Quinn (Matrix) surprised everyone by stepping into house music with Goldtrix. The result was Itā€™s Love (Trippinā€™) a reimagining of Jill Scottā€™s classic, featuring the unforgettable vocals of Andrea Brown. What followed was extraordinary: a UK Top 10 hit and a No. 1 on the US Billboard Dance Chart, proving that one of Drum & Bassā€™ finest producers could also create a genuine crossover anthem. Driven by uplifting piano chords, irresistible groove and Andrea Brownā€™s soulful vocal, Itā€™s Love (Trippinā€™) became a defining club record of the early 2000s. While many knew Matrix for pioneering futuristic Drum & Bass alongside Optical on Virus Recordings, this release revealed another side of his talent one that resonated far beyond the underground and remains a timeless dancefloor classic. šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡Ŗ Vanguard Archives: We were huge admirers of Matrix long before this release. From his groundbreaking work on Virus Recordings to unforgettable productions like Sleepwalk, his music was a constant inspiration in our studio as Terminal State, helping shape our own productions and DJ sets. šŸ–¤ Some producers master one genreā€¦ the truly great ones redefine them all. šŸ‘‡ Where does Itā€™s Love (Trippinā€™) rank amongst the greatest crossover dance records of the 2000s? #crossovermusic #dnb #housemusic #electronicmusıc
