the first time i stepped out to go somewhere other than a grocery store was to frolic around eerily empty new orleans streets and create with my lovely bestie D Murda these past several months, 30-50% of my days are great or at least good days where i am moved to do or start things i always say i want to, moved to put time into my routines, cute shit. the rest of the time is often spent worrying, stressing, binge-watching in bed, avoiding, putting off everything because i am so impatient with myself, with my process, with the journey. in this terrible time, i have been able to stay home with the security and personal freedom to explore new things, new crafts, new truths. i try really hard to not take this for granted when things get really hard. from this came the beginning of my journey in photography and editing. i deeply value collaborating but my experiences of being only in front of the camera have taught me the necessity of getting behind the camera, to the left of the camera, and to the right of the camera — the whole 360 bout the camera, really. i’m learning that growing demands patience and there’s no way around that, only through it. it took me 3 months but i’m excited to share this project i made with my bestie and co-photographer/co-star @punk_gypsy, edited by me titled ~we are all we need~ if you read all this you an MVP forreal. ~we are all we need~ on the way 🤎
