We welcomed UT alum and animation executive Jennifer Howell, chief creative officer at Deep Voodoo, Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s deepfake company, for a look at the creative possibilities of AI!   AI Production Lead Frank Lucatuorto and UTLA alumna Lily Kent (Summer ’26) also joined the conversation with our students. Lily interned at Deep Voodoo and landed a full-time position as a PA with the company!   We saw Deep Voodoo’s cutting-edge work on the upcoming Hulu series “Phony” and learned how their technology can give directors, actors and production teams more creative freedom. Jennifer, who started as a PA and whose career includes executive roles at Paramount, 20th Century Fox Animation and DreamWorks, always gives the best professional advice: “Be great at what you’re doing and you will be needed!”

On an all new South America episode, the kids get addicted to Italian Brainrot as it targets everyone in town. Tung Tung Sahur gets along with Cartman, Randy has emotions for Chimpanzini, all the while Stan is mourning Kenny's death in a sloppy sloppy way. While this is not a real South Park episode, if you see this Matt and Trey, bring Italian Brainrot to Season 29 of South America! What do you think @deep_voodoo ? Spawned with H3 by Minimax on @pika_labs #southpark #tungtungtungsahur #brainrot #season29

How did #Ted make Seth MacFarlane convincingly appear as early-1990s Bill Clinton? For this episode of #ComeFlyWithMe, VFX co-supervisor Hoyt Yeatman takes us inside the nearly 10-month long process behind the show’s donut shop sequence, created in collaboration with AI VFX company Deep Voodoo. The work involved months of experimentation, five synchronized Venice cameras, performance capture, AI-trained facial models, and traditional compositing- all layered together by artists to bring the moment to life. #Unchaired #RollingStones

The Rolling Stones turn back time in ‘In The Stars’, blending digital de-aging, sweaty house-party energy and pure rock ’n’ roll chaos, led by a magnetic performance from Odessa A’zion. A fever dream of past and present colliding, packed with musicians, dancers and the kind of mayhem only the Stones could pull off. Watch the full MV by following the link in our bio. Many things have happened over the past 10 years in the lives of many people, but this project carries such a deep and special meaning that it flies through generations. Great work, homie! Directed by Cole Bennett. Speech Narrated by my Cole’s Grandfather. Speech Written by Cole’s Mother. We shot four males from different generations who had similar facial features, ranging from ages 8 - 78. Through deepfake VFX expertise we were able to stitch all of these people together and showcase the aging process of 70 years.

Just finished editing / recording page 8 of the script, so I’m seriously over the hump and over halfway finished with this audio work now. I’ve been using sour patch kids and other candies as motivation, a lot and a lot of caffeine to keep me focused. It’s really hard work for me to do this, I’d honestly say that recording the soundtrack instrumental was way easier even though it took over a day. But yeah I can see things getting easier for the editing and re-recording now that I’m over that crucial climactic part. The script is absolutely insane and revisiting it is giving me flashbacks. I can’t wait to share it with you, it’s so freaking awesome and brand new. How much more can I get done today?!! Hopefully a lot :D
