for years, bravery to me looked like packing my bags
but now i think it’s actually staying put

i’ve been home for 6 months, focusing on building community and this is my camera roll from the last 2 weeks

i knew it was time to come home in december, but didn’t expect how disjointing the return would feel.

i felt like a different person, still in my old environment.

what was real?
all my ideas felt shit or completely unrealistic.

part of me wanted to pack up and go back to south america. but i realised much of the magic came from what it allowed me to be at that time.

i told myself i’d lock in until april, after that im allowed to leave again.

every time i settled, there was this part of me that wanted to run away.

but the more i built, the more i realised there was to do.
the more i built the more realised i didn’t have to keep doing it alone.

i’ve been so disjointed for the last four years, travel is amazing… but i never really felt like i belonged anywhere. i wanted to build a community.

april 11 i sent my tracks to a mix and mastering tech in melbourne.

the same day as the @yourshotau tryout. i thought, fuck it, why not just go…

it’s officially been two months since i’ve been involved with your shot.

yes, i’ve learned how to dj.

but i’ve also found a creative community. people who see me, appreciate me, and hold space for me.

and im so proud of this new bravery that im learning,
hanging in there instead of running away

cos this is my life !!!!!!! ✨
