We are live!! tickets on bio

We are bringing the Spanish aperitivo ritual to Shoreditch: a day of Spanish food, drinks and music. Grab your friends, have a few vermouths, a calimocho or a tinto de verano, and spend the Sunday with us.

There’ll be @gildascohouse signature gildas, Spanish tortilla, Basque cheesecake and classic pinchos, with DJs playing Spanish indie, Latin jazz, salsa, funk, disco, house, and soulful cuts.

Now I’m not 💯 on who among you put me up on this release, ( Chris Anthem? )
All I know is how happy I am to finally have it.!
I see it as a sort of, best of the Dog with a Bone imprint to date. Shout to @thebasementdiscos for this sub label and the vision to go deep underground by developing these very talented producers.
Feel it? GOOD! I know it’s available all around the globe. Go get yours and as always, keep supporting independent vinyl!

Which tracks are you feeling most?

🎧 RECORDS THAT INSPIRE US 🎧

Deepmore – Out of Control
(Sift Music, 2024)

Released in 2024 on Sift Music.

Out of Control sits right in that sweet spot of deep house where the groove does most of the talking. At 127 BPM, Deepmore builds the track around a firm, rolling rhythm and low-slung bass movement, with carefully placed electronic details giving the arrangement its depth. There’s a raw, underground feel to it, but the production remains clean and controlled throughout its six-minute journey.

❔️ Why we chose it.

It’s the momentum that makes this one work for us. The track locks into its rhythm early and keeps finding subtle ways to maintain interest without interrupting the flow. It feels designed for mixing — something you can bring into a set and let breathe.

❔️ What makes it timeless.

There’s nothing overly complicated about the idea, and that’s part of its strength. A convincing bassline, tight drums and a groove that holds its own have always been at the heart of deep house. Out of Control puts those fundamentals first.

❔️ How it inspires us.

It’s a reminder that movement doesn’t always require dramatic changes. Deepmore creates energy through the relationship between the rhythm and low end, letting smaller shifts do the work rather than constantly introducing something new.

—

💭 What keeps you locked into a track more — the bassline or the drums?

From Valencia, Spain 🇪🇸 Miura Records has been exploring the deeper side of house since launching in 2021.

The label moves across different shades of deep house, with plenty of deep tech and garage along the way, while occasionally stepping into rawer and more energetic house territory. Different flavours, but always with groove at the core.

Happy to spend some time digging through their catalog, all available on @volumomusic ⚡️Plenty of gems waiting to be discovered.
