POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last month I went to a new regional burn, called Portal Burn, with two different groups of friends.

I have made so many beautiful connections through this community and I am forever grateful.

I have always been a butterfly, a stray cat, a rabbit exploring, a human on a mission to live a life full of experiences.

2 years ago i went to my first regional burn in CT.

I made a deep connection with a camp called Potato Support. I didn't know that the humans I had the pleasure of meeting would become such a big part of my life.

Most of their campmates lived outside of CT. That didn't stop me, or them, from continuing to grow together.

We saw each other at other burns. We kept in contact with phone calls and text messages.

When I came back from that burn I was invited to a @connecticut_burners meetup. I was blessed to have the chance to build a local community that enjoyed travel, the outdoors, art, and so many more of the things that lit my life up.

2 years later, both of these groups have made my world so much more magical.

Portal Burn was the first time i decided to setup two camps for myself. I was conflicted on which group I wanted to spend the trip with. I knew that i wanted to give both groups some quality time and i didn't want to be limited.

It was best thing I could have done. I had the joy of spending time with both groups of friends. I lived my best life by bouncing between both camps and honoring my needs every turn.

I rarely, if ever, have my phone with me but this art piece allowed me to get pictures of the experience.

Both groups are different but the same. Both groups fill my heart and soul with love, gratitude, and joy.

I did not get a picture with all of the humans in both camps, but the memories of these days mean so much to me.

I left this burn feeling more alive.

As some of my friends prepare to go to the big burn, I sit with the memories of our burns past. I look forward to hearing all of their stories and seeing the dust through their eyes when they return. And I look forward to burning with them all again 🥰

I forget how much I enjoy Pinball.

The @connecticut_burners checked out @tothesanctum for a night of pinball fun.

They had vintage machines that they were fixing on site.

They also had a pinball tournament happening the same night.

I got addicted to a machine and realized I am not as skilled as I used to be.

It is always such a pleasure getting together with these humans.

Our adventures never end and we are always trying new experiences.

Find friends who fill your life and life will be more fun.

This weekend was nothing i expected and everything i needed.

My weekend of love started on Thursday. A friend invited me to a new Ecstatic Dance locally. We made new friends. We hung out with old friends. We danced and laughed and played. I did forget to get a picture of us after.

On Friday, I planned to go to @lipglosscrisis Prom/Bday celebration at @cafenine. I sent a message to my friend groups to see if anyone wanted to join. I was pleasantly surprised when a friend said, Yes. @deepriverorganic and I got dressed up and made our way to a Prom.

It was so wonderful to see so many people dressed up. We danced, we laughed, we made new friends, and we had such a beautiful night.

I woke up Sat knowing I wanted to do something with myself. I decided to take myself on a solo valentines date. I went to my favorite sushi spot, I sat alone at the bar, and I turned off my phone. I spent the meal in thought. I ate and reflected.

After eating, I decided to take myself on a small shopping trip and found myself some @mini_brands_official. I went home and spent the evening being playful and enjoying quiet time by myself.

On Sunday, I had plans to connect with a friend @lydiak557. We met at our favorite indian place @bainganindian94 and caught up while we ate.

Once we finished our meal we went for a walk by the water. We got to be playful and enjoy all the frozen water. We found 2 hearts on the ground and spoke of the magic of love. We met an older couple who stopped to take our picture.

The weekend was so full of love, nature, food, laughter, and community. Pictures don't do this weekend justice.

For me, it is the small actions of love and friendship that mean the most. It isn't the big gestures. It is the small conversations we have about change. It is the small moments we make time to see each other. It is showing up time and time again.

I am forever grateful for the community I have created for myself. I am forever in love with the life I lead. I share so that you can also know that life can be tough but showering yourself with love and community can make the days feel more full.

I hope you know how loved you are.
