What a first hunting season for Will. He bagged his first buck on Saturday and showed a lot of patience waiting for the right shot before making all of his practice pay off. The best part was seeing his excitement when we recovered his deer. He’s already proving to be a thoughtful, respectful, and ethical hunter. We’re so proud of him. ❤️🦌

Next season’s hunt starts this season.

The rut, fresh tracks, active game trails, and hunting pressure reveal critical intel about your hunting area a full season before your next hunt.

Ready to build real hunting capability? Capability starts here.

HUNTING IMMERSION | 2 DAYS

Day 1 | Hunter Intensive

Join a hunting party in prime Southern California deer habitat for a simulated hunt. Learn to locate game, read terrain, manage scent, navigate with onX Hunt, and understand California tags. Experience a live ungulate harvest and hands-on field dressing while developing fieldcraft, kit loadouts, and base/spike camp skills.

Day 2 | Firearms Intensive

Master rifle systems, optics, ammunition, and ballistics. Build and validate your DOPE, then train with tripod, bipod, and natural-terrain shooting positions through live fire out to 750 yards. Precision is compassion.

SELF-SUFFICIENT HUNTER | MENTORSHIP

Two private field sessions, four 1:1 Zoom calls, and in-season support. Build your equipment system, scout public-land access, navigate California tags, draws, and preference points, and develop a personalized hunt plan. The goal: establish your own hunting area and build the skills to return independently, year after year.

The work you put in this season determines how prepared you’ll be for the next.

🦌💨 💥🥊🦌 If you’re a hunter, you have never TRULY lived until you see 2 bucks fighting.

Let me tell you, you would love to take one, but to see the woods come alive in this way is simply amazing 🤩!

It is October, that means it’s the pre-rut, where these bucks tend to leave their bachelor groups and establish dominance over a territory. This is different from the actual rut where they fight over a doe. 🌎

These 2 bucks obviously could not come to an agreement on whose territory this belonged to, so fisticuffs were in order! 🤺

To see the sheer strength and determination of these two bucks, was nothing shy of jaw dropping! 😧

Once you hear 2 different tones of low long grunts and maybe even a snort wheeze, you know there are 2 bucks in the area, you know something is about to go down, just stay still and keep your eyes scanning the area! 😬

This is nature, nothing soft about it, this is Darwin’s theory of evolution in the flesh, this is the survival of the fittest, this is the strong survive and the weak perish in action! 💪🏽

Get outside and witness this for yourself, the woods are calling you! 🌳🗣️👂🏽

🦌EMERSON ARCHERY DOE DAYS — DECEMBER 12 & 13🦌

This December, we’re bringing hunters together for something bigger than just filling a tag.

The mission of Emerson Archery Doe Days is simple: help manage our local deer herd while putting quality venison into the hands of families and organizations in our community that can use it.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

🏹 You hunt your own property or property you already have permission to hunt.

🦌 If you’re successful, your deer must be legally harvested and properly tagged according to Michigan law.

📍 Bring your harvested deer to Emerson Archery during the event.

🤝 The DNR will be on site collecting donated deer and coordinating getting them to processors.

🥩 The processed venison will then be distributed to local food banks, churches, and other organizations helping people in need.

IMPORTANT: We are NOT providing hunting property, hunting access, weapons, bows, or other hunting equipment. You hunt on your own, then bring your legally harvested deer to the event if you choose to donate it.

And you DO NOT have to harvest or donate a deer to attend!

If you hunt all weekend and never fill a tag—or just want to come be part of the event—you’re still invited to come hang out, participate in the other activities, check out the prizes, and enjoy the weekend with us.

🍽️ SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12 — BANQUET DINNER

We’ll also be hosting a banquet dinner Saturday night. Dinner tickets will be first come, first served, and we’ll be releasing ticket information and additional details soon.

There is NO dinner ticket required to donate a deer or come participate in the rest of Doe Days.

We have a lot more planned for this weekend, and we’ll continue releasing details as we get closer.

Save the dates: December 12 & 13.

Hunt your ground. Fill your tag if you can. Donate your harvest if you choose. And come spend the weekend with us while we use hunting to give back to our community.

Wild game provides clean, healthy protein that hunters can use and share with others.

As we move further into the fall and winter hunting seasons, join the #DonateADoe Challenge by harvesting an antlerless deer and donate or share the venison with someone in need. 🦌

Each doe donated can help support individuals and families in need and introduce people to the benefits of hunting and wild game meat.

Share your success and join the challenge using #DonateADoe, and encourage three friends or tag organizations to join in and help spread the word.

The challenge runs Oct. 1 through Feb. 1, covering most white-tailed deer seasons and giving hunters across the country a shared way to participate. 🍂❄️

We’re joining @deerassociation in this effort by inviting all hunters, mentors, outdoor groups, and conservation-minded communities to participate. 🦌
